I actually think TV's somewhat in decline from where it was a few years ago. There's no great comedy atm and the best drama, Breaking Bad is over.

You're not wrong, it sort of peaked with BB but there's still a lot of quality shows on right now.

HBO are carrying the ship.

This doesnt filter down to Oz TV, just 'voice' and renovations crap.

Film is getting a bit stupid. Studios just play it safe with big budget formulaic trash and self aware zombiecoms.

That said, it is *slightly* better than a few years ago. Reason being is alot of studios are going broke so cant even get the big busdgets in the first place, forcing top notych prime cut actors into smaller budget films.

I much prefer a good TV series to movies these days. Good movies are few and far between in recent years and Mad Max is the probably the only good movie I've seen this year.

But seriously, he's right in that most studios are really only interested a guaranteed money maker.

That and the amount of rubbish sequels and super hero films dominating everything leaving not a lot left for original screenplays.

These two are easily the best on Netflix, along with Orange is the New Black.

Daredevil shits on every other superhero show.

The first two seasons of Arrow are also on there, they're the best two as well.

The 'blockbusters' are mostly lazy overrated crap, luckily there are enough quieter movies coming though of decent quality.

I watched the first few episodes of Arrow the other day and thought it was not very good.
Daredevil indeed shits on it. I think it may have been good if given the HBO/Netflix treatment. I think I just might not be a fan of network TV anymore. It's all just so watered down and formulaic. All the shows I watch now are from cable/Netflix - Walking Dead, GoT, Daredevil, True Detective and previously Boardwalk Empire, Dexter, Breaking Bad.

I think the last network TV show I actually enjoyed was LOST. That is still one of my favourite shows, but even that would have been better if it was on cable.

arrow is awesome but u gotta stick through the first half of the season which is avg once the villians start coming through it awesome
daredevil was good but lacked any decent villians outside of kinpin,next season is looking much better with the punisher
