Edge of Tomorrow was a great big budget blockbuster. Shame it had such a terrible marketing campaign so it didn't make as much money as it should have.

Plus these days when you give filmmakers the chance to make an original big budget movie we end up with Jupiter Ascending.

The next Hollywood blockbuster will be Fast and Furious Fanny Farts 8 starring Ofrah Winfrey and Whoppee Goldberg.

Coming to your nearest cinema with Stink-o-Rama.

It was like watching a kid play a Call of Duty campaign. Each replay they get a little bit further. Rinse & repeat. It was a good action film, but totally uninspired. About as good as Cobra or anything Steven Seagal did.

LOL you must be joking.

I like the old 80s B-grade grade movies, but they were really run of the mill stuff .I know opinions are subjective, but not sure how EoT was uninspired? The concept of a Starship Troopers & Groundhog Day crossover was very original and entertaining.

Agreed, I thought it was quite intelligent and original.

Boyz N the Hood was 92 I think. I enjoyed that movie. Fury I thought was average verging on disappointing. Same with American Sniper.

Insterstellar was superb IMO. Really enjoyed that movie.

Fury infuriated me.

It had the dumbest ending around.

300 German SS troops heavily armed with panzerfausts get their arse handed to them by one immobilised sherman and Brad Pitt who had to hold a crossroads in the last week of the war.

So of course the Germans attacked it front on only bothering to take 2 panzerfausts with them which miss from less then point blank range.

Even though there was a hedgerow on the side.

Then after one of the crew survives, he hides in a hole under the tank, is spotted by an SS guy who just had 100s of his mates killed and ignores him.

Oh and a Tiger would just stand there while a Sherman went around it and put 2 shells in its arse.

Kelly's Heroes was more realistic.

It really did feel like a watching someone play a game. Each time they get a bit further. They 'die' and try again, making it further next time.

It wasn't bad. Just something to do on a Saturday arvo. Nothing more than that and I don't think it has pretensions of being more. Miles better than any comic-book hero adaptation though.
