Hookers

The two best hookers on display last night were Godinet and Brown, to think the warriors let them both go and now have no threat at no. 9 typical warrior recruitment 101. Godinet always had that x-factor and I was gutted when they let him go.

According to the Channel 9 commentary team, Godinet still plays in the lower grades for us.

Brown and Leuluai played different roles.

Brown was a running impact Hooker.

Thomas was solid in that test and the forward pack played well off their hooker or not ?

Lotta Thomas criticism comes down to being selected in the wrong position ( Half for the Warriors ).

Brown came on and ran well...in the same fashion Ben Henry ran well in the last test at hooker, neither are organising hookers.

Lastly Johnson got brilliant clean ball from the dummy half to set up his last tackle options from Tommy....Warriors fans rejoice.

Yeah, apart from a dud pass, Thomas was good, I thought. Brown scored a good try and made an impact when he was on, which is great, but there's more to the hooking role than that.

We don't actually need an organising hooker. We need a hooker who will not get in the way of the haves and who can follow a play/game plan.

Thomas did neither.

So with Luke back in the team who will make the bench - TL or Louie? Luke is an 80 minute player and the bench was one of the big differences between NZ and Aust. If TL on the bench I think a wasted spot just like Farrah for Aussie.

Out of those two, I'd go Brown, more of an impact player & could still cover for Luke if necessary.

Quality side. Brown only needs to be out there for 20-25 minutes in the 2nd row and getting in some dummy half runs. I'd rather go with that and if there is a half injury then Tohu slots into 5/8th like in the ANZAC test.

yea, he went good on defence.

what stood out more was his sloppy passing to SJ, crap kicking and getting in the way of moves.

I like Thomas but Saturday night he wasnt generally very good.

in fact, if we did a 3-2-1, he would be my 17..

He has been crap all year... aside from solid defence I don't think he offers anything atm

The Aussies will be better, and Luke will add a lot for us

Thomas has been rubbish because he has been injured and out of sync with the team.

He is getting too old and one dimensional to play in the halves.

He only had a handful of minutes at hooker for the Warriors, that was foolish, they should have persevered.

As for rubbishing his performance for the kiwis, Leuluai's forwards got great ball, as did his halves for most part.

People need to take their Warriors goggles off when test are being played.

Thomas was better than he is getting credit for.

( I thought he was the pits for us this year......his test match was fine ).

Regardless, Luke is so much better it's not funny.

And to date Leuluai has done little to suggest he's a better option than Friend... coin toss imo
