Apparently some notoriously accurate caller who calls himself 1/4 Chicken and Chips contacted a Sydney sports radio station to inform them that it would soon become apparent that Laffranchi was returning to the Tigers. Sounds like a farce but the guy evidently has a history of extremely early and accurate tips.
Whist I don't beleive this,I would swap heighno for Boof, imagine boof and Ellis in the secondrow, that would be the best in the NRL.
I would not swap Lawry for anyone,he is a local and a real good one,the future of our club.

I have been beating the drum for years that we need beefing the engine room up, but to let Lawerence go would be madness. I think this one might be a gee up, he is Sheens model player and is destined for the backrow in a few years.

Not saying I wouldn't want Laffranchi back, but I dont think he played that well this year.

if we are 400 under for 2010, I can't imagine Burgess would demand more than 500k a season.

release Payne and you have the cash to get Burgess, and retain Lawrence (even give Lawrence a pay rise to keep him here).

That seems far more sensible and makes our top 17 a stronger unit.

Im assuming Lawrence has been mixed up with Laurie somewhere along the Chinese whispers line. Lawrence isn't going anywhere, especially not for next year...would be the most ridiculous move in the clubs history if it was so. He was an out and out star both in attack (drawing a man and setting up tries) as he was in defence. Future rep player definitely

On another forum someone has just posted WT are looking to unload Lawrence for 2010 money to sign Sam Burgess from ESL. WTF? Hope not true. Unless Lawrence himself has had enough and wants out, this would be ridiculous.

he will be at Bondi Junction it's a matter of getting a release i am reliably informed

Hope not- especially as the probable reason for the release ie signing Burgess isnt going to happen as he signed with South Sydney.

Then again knowing WT & Sheens - maybe that will free up money to increase a new contract offer to Payne and still make a miserable offer to Cayless and Lima to join WT.

Back to being serious- if that does go ahead some serious questions have to be asked of Sheens by Humphreys as to what the hell his plans actualy are for 2010. Getting rid of Lawrence- why so Mitch BRown and Geoff Daniella can have a go? Maybe Flanagan? Some sense / plan has to be behind this if true.

wouldnt mind lawrence going. always wanted to see benji in the centres this could be his chance

His career started in the centres (first grade)

But you want to try Benji in the centres ,so you would piss off Chris lawrence???

Wouldn't it make more sense to put Ayshford in the second row, or give him a week off...

Benji is a proven 6 anyway...

if lawrence played for the dragons he would be an established origin star by now. even playing in a tigers jersey can't keep him out of team much longer, the bloke is a genuine star.

not even the brains trust at camp concord would be that stupid to let him go.

Thank god he hasn't played Origin yet- He has taken his game to another level- look at pearce Mullen and even williams- they have all suffered from being thrown in to early...whilst Lawrence is peaking at the right age
