I saw something on TV a while back that said Hoppa was preparing for life after footy by doing a course in player management, he's specialising in Islander players like himself.

Can you imagine the havok he would cause if he was guiding the careers of young Polynesian players?

I might be the only one (and I'll probably get blasted for this), but I think 17 weeks is a tad harsh, especially considering Danny Williams only got one more for deliberately king hitting an opposition player when he had his back turned.

If it was anyone but Hoppa, the suspension would have been far, far less.

I know he is an idiot and brings it onto himself, but I do feel sorry for him in a weird kind of way. He had the talent - just not the brains.

Agree with these sentiments. Although I dont think it is too harsh, the two incidents are not in the same league. Williams got off lightly if you compare the two.

The knee by Greg Bird was bad and should've gotten more than it did.
Hoppa's hit was also bad and 17 weeks is fair.
But i have never in my time seen a more thuggish and stupid act as the king hit my danny douche bag williams, and this suspension shows that Williams should've ogtten alot more weeks than he did.
