Ok well good on him. I have heard this mentioned on here before. If true, well done Burty.

What will it take for the rest of our players to do the same? Playing in a successful NYC side together is a nice start.

Just playing devils advocate, but didnt Jarryd have a chance to take less so we could keep his mates Krisnan and T-Rex?

Well it's not all about Semi Radradra and how many tries he can score. If our best centre option on his side isn't a ball player then it's just bad luck for Semi. He still made huge metres yesterday. Let some other merkin score the tries.

Anyway I'm certain Hopoate will play on the left next year. What a sight to see!

That's the trouble, though - we aren't scoring enough tries: particularly from in the opposition twenty. And Semi is one of our most likely try-scorers - if he gets quality ball in good position.

Yep. He loves scoring and has a knack for it. He's scored tries that none of our other wingers or centres would have. That 90m effort a few games ago comes to mind.

Sure, but I'm talking more about inside the opposition twenty. We certainly seem quite bereft of ideas when in that situation. Many will blame Sandow and Norman for that, but I think a large part of it is a lack of very good quality attacking centres (or centres capable of setting up try assists). Beau Champion might help rectify that, and I expect Hoppoate to be better next year. But I would love to see how we'd go with a centre like, say, Michael Jennings. We've been in desperate need of quality centres for over a decade now.

I know what you mean. I singled out the long-range effort because it was so spectacular, but the stuff he did to break the initial tackles is something the rest of them lack. And yep, when he gets the ball in the opposition 20, with a bit of space, you just know he is going to score. It's different to how Jennings does it, though. Jennings has acceleration, agility and power. And he knows where to be. But I'm not sure he sets up his wingers all that well?
