Hottest 100

I think you'll find a lot of bands and artists release albums in the second half of the year to help increase sales. Ie Xmas sales. I don't think they do it to win the Hottest 100.

I only heard that Datarock 'Computer Camp Love' song for the first time when the hottest 100 was annouced - it's amusing, but definatley not worth the position it got.

I heard Computer Camp Love a heap in about September I think it was, they were playing it very regularly. I usually hate that type of music, but that song just struck a chord with me and hence I decided to throw it in my personal top 10 of the hottest 100 tracks.

I tell you what though, since I heard it again on the hottest 100 Ive just absolutely loved Middle of the Hill by Adam Pyke. It did nothing for me the first time I heard it, but the last week or so Ive just been playing it over and over, I freaking love it.

My favourite album this year was Cog - The New Normal. It's great they got 2 songs in the top 100, however in my opinion, those 2 songs (which were the singles released) are not even close to being the best songs on that album. I can think of 4 or 5 better.

I cannot agree more Zoidberg!

I didn't listen to the hotest100 but I looked up the results later to see where COG came, I couldn't believe that Run was up in the list, I didn't even know it was a single! There are definitely a whole bunch of better songs on that album that could have gotten a better run. Definitely my album of the year though!
