How about some credit to the Aussie Players?

I was not bored for 1 minute last night.
The Australian boys were outstanding.
England applied some pressure for a while and it was looking like a contest, but the Aussie boys hit straight back with some sensational attacking play.

How about we stand up and applaud the talent of these kids instead of saying International RL is dead.
Every other team should be trying to reach Australia's standard.

The time and effort these guys put in to get to the level they are at is a credit to themselves.
I don't think England were that bad last night, nobody would have got within 30 points of our boys last night.

This is why the other nations NEED continued matches against Australia, to monitor their progress each year, and see how much ground they are making up or losing to the Aussies.

Well played last night boys, it was a sensational show of attacking quality Rugby League.

:clap::clap: agreed

we're witnessing some of the most skillful Australian teams in the past decade and we constantly hear whinging. that was an outstanding performace and despite the scoreline it wasnt like england were overly poor or didnt turn up -they had a crack and couldnt break the aussies.

sad thing is that if the socceroos or the wannabies ever were this good you'd have people sucking them off about how good they are

I agree.

By the time kick off came it was already past 10 here at night, my plan was to just watch the first half and then crash for work. But after watching some of the tries and skill that was in display in that game i just had to finish off watching it.

Inglis' little sneaky ball to Slater for a 90 metre try was one of the best ive seen.

I hope us Kiwis get another crack at ya!!

Although Joel Monaghan is pretty ordinary as Kangaroo backs go, I just think the combined effect of him, Inglis and Folau is hard to deal with- having 3 backs that tall, 6'4" +, is just ridiculous. It's like having 3 prototypes of a modern-day centre/winger all in the team at once- tall, athletic, powerful, almost unstoppable under the high ball, able to stretch out and finish in situations where others couldn't. Then, with Slater's brilliance and the Lockyer/Thurston combo, it just seems like an unstoppable mix.

True thommo, it was an awesome display. I cannot believe how good the Kangaroos are sometimes. It's poetry in motion.

I agree as well, anyone that loves rugby, either code, have seen a master performance by the best rugby team on earth.

And if they didn't enjoy that then one can only assume that they are bitter and twisted.

That was the best attacking display i've seen by a team in a long time. Far more entertaining than the Aus NZ game, I can't say I was bored. England had their moments. The first half was edge of your seat stuff.

Really great game to watch. The Aussies make it look so easy and the other teams are so much in awe of them they totally forget how to play.

Whoever plays Aust in the final needs to come up with a totally different game plan designed to put Aust off their game - Perhaps a bit of biff is needed :sarcasm:

I dunno how good Clive Churchill was, but if he was better than Billy Slater, then he was pretty good. Watching Billy Slater play, I am convinced he has to be one of the best and most exciting players I've seen play the game. And I've been watching it for about 35 years!

Lockyer is also just outstanding as well. We've had some great 5/8s play the game. Kenny, Lewis, Dally, Fittler even Lamb. Its hard to ever say that Lockyer was better than King Wally, but they do have very different games and eras, but jeepers he is good!

I still think the Oz team can be beaten. If the refs, can give the opposition a fair crack for a change instead of every single call seemingly going Australias way, THEN we might see a contest. IF NZ or England play well and get a few decisions go their way, then they CAN beat Australia. With the refs behind them, Australia are invincible.

It is a shame in this country, probably due to such dominance, that the Kangaroos often don't quite get the accolades they deserve. What a fantastic and skillful team we are currently witnessing.

Needs to learn how to catch balls in the air.

The reason why Churchill is remembered is because he revolutionised the game, and to a lesser extent so did Lockyer in his time at fullback. Dont forget Minichiello a guy who if not for a back injury would still be no.1, a golden boot winner and SOO man of the series winner.

Slater needs more longevity to be on par with those two, but he is easily the best fullback since Minichiello at his peak imo.

Dutchy, to say that a 4th string Aussie side would beat the rest, is as arrogant as it gets. 2005, 24-0 to Kiwis. It took Lockyer brilliance to snatch away victory from the Kiwis.

Take away a couple of the top contributors to this side, and they are mere mortals. Look at the cricket team. Mcgrath and Warny gone, and how do they look.

You are kidding yourself

I reckon its the best Aussie backline for a decade. Not bad considering their isn't even a proper winger in it!
