How dirty was France's right winger? What was he doing after Gregan scored? Eye-gouging? Trying to rip his head off? Then he tried to slide-tackle Larkham :?

i really think the All Blacks will hammer the french. i like this young all black side. the best part of it is they actually dont go for penalty's. they do it with tries.

DIMitri...a penalty goal would have put Australia within an unconverted try of the lead. Had they gone for a try they would have still had to score again to win.

Do the maths, sonny jim.

I know if Wilkinson is fit he'll get it by default. O'Gara is a far more complete player and is a sharpshooter aswell.

Yeah. It just occured to me how what i said sounded. What i meant was there won't be a contest because Wilkinson will be injured.

Ah. Well personally I think Ireland have two of the best flyhalfs in the UK, with O'Gara and Humphries. Although I've heard nothing of Humphries for a while. If he's still around he'll tour as it wasn't so long ago he was considered the second best kicker around after Wilkinson.

We lost because our tight forwards are incredibly average, and our backs aren't creative enough to overcome this massive disadvantage.

I cannot believe that Eddie Jones is contracted through to the next world cup. As I understand it, Australia has not beaten a top 6 nation outside of Australia for 3 years.

Jones will make some superficial changes, but unless they start developing some key talent now, it will be like changing the deckchairs on the titanic.

It's an ongoing debate at home as to who should be fly half, Ronan or Humphries. It's been handy to have one on the field and one on the bench as they are both prone to the odd off day. But Ronan seems to have the spot sewn up now - a lot of my fellow Ulstermen would probably disagree but he's the more complete player for mine. And when he plays like he did against South Africa, who's gonna argue?

As for the other guy, Johnny who?

I completely agree with you. I'm a fan of Humphries as well as O'Gara, and I think O'Gara's all-round game is definitely more polished. Having said that if I had to pick anyone around right now to try and out-kick Wilkinson, I'd take Humphries! His all round game is also quite good, but he's primarially a sharpshooter. It's just an embarassment of riches in the 10 for Ireland.

How can we lose to France?

In Rugby it is easy. Rugby is a major game in France and they are currently the best team in the WORLD. If we were talking League then the question would be valid. There are hardly enough French speaking people to make a FRENCH League side and certainly not enough to supply a competition. In short....League for FRENCHMEN is almost invisible.

What's your point?

When was the last time you won a premiership?
Where did you finish this year?

Unlike the Eels, the Wallabies are successful.

By the way,

2001 Grand Final: Knights 30 defeated. Eels 24 at Homebush

Still hurts, doesn't it

Interesting to see Argentina beat France last night 24-14.

There are too many reasons for Australia's bloody awful form in recent times:

- an arrogant coach who, apart from one good performance in the semi-final of last year's World Cup, has nothing to be arrogant about

- no intimidation factor in the forwards

- a slow an aging scrum half with a bizarre facination for the blind side

- a fly-half with a good running game, ordinary kicking game and poor passing game

- a backline which have no idea what each other are doing

- a general inability to catch the football
