Whats the focus?

- If it aint bottom 8 dont fix it?
- more emphasis on dominance?
- better defense?
- blooding enthusiastic young uns?
- pray to the gods Benji and Robbie have another injury free season?
- move more to the common grind style and curtail Benjis brain snaps?
- Supercoach has the answers?

Ha! Morris. You got to be kidding.

More than happy with the way Beau played this year and people seem to forget that Lote was great the first year here and was busted with injuries all year in '11. He'll be just fine next year on the other wing. Brown is a very good winger too. Not express pace but they will do me as a three person wing rotation.

Better run with injuries will do it for mine - hope Farah is 100% all year....

A doninate halfback that can control the game and prevent the reliance on Benji and Robbie thus limiting the brain snaps.

Not much.

Personally I think Benji has to step up a step further in the finals. Andrew Johns did it. Benji has the ability. I don't think he stepped up enough in the finals this year. Last year was different - I think Farah stuffed us. This year Benji didn't stuff us but he didn't do enough.

We need a much better run with injuries. We won't have the depth the we had over the last 2 years next year...

I'm reasonably happy with the way the sides shaping up. The big issues for me have always been lack of size and aggression up front, lack of dominance and control in the halves and more recently, poor defence at fullback.

After Matty Head didn't get a decent crack at halfback, I've accepted we'll never get a dominant halfback to guide the side around. The job will just be done like it currently is between Farah and Marshall. If Lui is released, hopefully Miller is nurtured in the same way Lui was and he can grow into the role. I'm confortable with this.

The club is also starting to do something about the lack of size and aggression in the forward pack. The Blair signing is really starting to grow on me and think with him and Ellis in the backrow, they'll be dishing out some sting in defence. This is also the first time we've signed a specialist prop in Matthew Bell. Plus younger blokes like Woods, BMM and Groat are starting to come through.

The fullback issue worries me a little. Ideally I'd be stoked if Mitch Brown was given the #1 jersey with time to make it his own. He's got the size and the defensive skills which have been lacking at the back for a long time. I'm sure it wouldn't be long before he was moving into the line in attack or sniffing around the edges of the ruck. Unfortunately lurking in the back of my mind is the whole Moltzen saga. So I won't be confident about fullback until I see the team run out in Round 1.

Hopefully we'll see Beau Ryan maintain his form on the wing as well. He's finishing skills are starting to get better.

We just need to stay up in the top 4. There will come a time we will be dominant and pick up anther premiership in the next 3 years.

The top squad:
Brown, Tuqiri, Ayshford, Lawrence, Ryan, Marshall, Miller, Woods, Farah (c), Galloway, Blair, Ellis, Heighington. Fulton, Groat, Bell, Reddy

Interestingly enough, nrl.com have Brown at fullback in 2012 for our "top squad".....I'm still confused about who is going & who is staying, do they know something I don't??? Is Brown going or staying, will Lui be here next year, will Moltzen be here next year, will Tuqiri get a run in the NRL again, still the forest of question marks grows:?

We just need a halfback with a good kicking game. That's all we need. Our lighter pack can get down the field quicker and make teams defend from deep in their own half every time.

Dominate field position - dominate the game and the competition.

Just look at the Sharks in 2008. Hopeless attacking unit - but they dominated field position nearly every single game they played and won games in the most boring way possible.

We have all the flair to win the games by massive margins if we can dominate field position.

That 17 is not good enough. It needs an injection of pace at fullback and pace and size on the wings.

I am worried how we are going to cover Gibbs loss in defense. The Warriors loss was a prime example. When Gibbs came off, they bent us backwards through the middle for the entire 2nd half.

Should not have let him go. I'd have sold tuqiri to keep gibbs, without any question. No matter how good tuqiri plays, at their utmost best, gibbs is far more valuable

For your team to improve...
Teach Farah and Benji how to count to 6 in English and remind them to kick the ball on the fifth, tackle deep in to the corners. Then your team will go one step closer to the Grand Final.
Remember Prince use to do most of the kicking in 2005 and he knew how to count to 6.

100% agree. Blair is a very different style of player and wont fill the defensive void.
