Thought Carmont played well again.
yeah.. aside from his patented "fade to the sideline and fail to get the inside ball to his winger" move... he had another good game. 2 in a row for georgie boy.

understable though.. he's fighting for his career at the moment.

He was our worst outside back. Didn't give Vuna a chance to use his pace at all. He just runs to the sideline and gets taken out all the time, as you said. Vuna would have got a double tonight if that idiot had of given him early ball. Thats gonna cost us in a close game like he has son many other games. I hope they show his ass the door.

Smith 400 plus games coached, yet no premimership, oh and that 71 point drubbing sounds like the hallmarks of smiths coaching to me. Hagan as at least won a premiership, only manly and the dogs have worse supporters, see you later might come in for the last laugh.

Haha- could Parramatta and supercoach Hagan really have done any better with a third-sring Eels side against a State of Origin strength team? I'll give you a hint: Brian Smith wasn't the reason Parramatta couldn't win a Grand Final. The pressure that comes with being a supporter/ player/ coach at Parramatta after all these years, money and still no more Premierships is what stopped them from winning a Grand Final? Newcastle has the right culture for Smith to ultimately succeed in, and unlike Parramatta, the Knights actually know what it's like to win a comp in the modern game.

I'm sorry, but I just don't get why ya'll rate Parra so high. The facts are, this year, just like us, they've beaten average teams. They've also been pasted by average teams, just like us. Our 1-17 outperformed them convincingly to a man, and i'm not surprised in the least.

They've got the worst halves in the comp, a powder puff forward pack (Hindmarsh did nothing against us, as per usual thoroughly outplayed by Simpson) and an untested inexperienced backline. Whereas we've got a top forward pack, improving halves and, i'll admit, a pretty terrible backline.

I rate them so high because, like the Broncos, they're a good side on paper:

1. Burt - leading NRL pointscorer
2. Hayne - NSW winger
3. Ben Smith - still has big wraps
4. Tahu - Australia/NSW
5. Grothe - rep player
6. Finch - former rep player
7. T.Smith - had big wraps

Then:
Riddell -- annoying as anything, but a player of note
Moi Moi -- big wraps
Hindmarsh - rep player
Wagon - former rep
PJ Marsh - rep?

They have no excuses for losing. You compare that team with the Knights -- with three rep players (K.Gidley, Buderus and Simpson), some in-form youngsters (Patterson, Walsh, McManus), an oldie (Doogs) ad some blokes who would still be Premier Leaguers if it weren't for the injuries.

With St George it was simple, he came up against the best team money could buy. A virtual SOO side at their absolute prime.

I love how Parramatta fans would rather blame the coach rather than the players for the reason why they didn't win a premiership during Smith's reign at the club. He didn't win a premiership with St George because they were playing Brisbane - and no one was beating Brisbane at that time. He should have won a premiership with Parramatta - however the players choked big time on the big night (that and the Knights absolutely dominated them in the first half - no one would have stopped Kennedy and Johns that night).

It is all very well to blame the coach but you have to look at the players and the circumstances to tell the whole story - even if it doesn't suit to do so.

I'll give you the tip Parra fans - you better hope you get your premiership this year because the deconstruction of Brian Smith's great work is already happening. You'll have a shell of a club in a few years...

I think the resigning of Mateo, Hayne, Keating, Inu and Cordoba shows there will be no destruction happening soon, thats the best crop of young players at one club. Sure beats spending a huge chunk of your salary cap on a 32 year old front rower who has never represented, Benny Cross thought he had won the lottery by all reports from melbourne.
The facts are we have a premiership winning coach and you guys don't so good luck.

I'd rather Mullen, Walsh, Paterson, Snowden and Uate personally.

For all your crapping on, you still have two disgraceful halves.

Oh, and how many of your players have won a premiership? Finch maybe(was he at the Roosters then?), and he's the only one I can think of.

Good luck with that.

Tim Smith was ordinary the other night but has steered us around the park this year to be 3rd on the ladder, he has 15 try assists 1 behind Thurston a lot more than any of your halves. Uate over Hayne thats funny. Tahu has played in a premiership winning side I am sure you remember :D . Best of luck for the rest of the year lets talk when the eight is finalised, you guys might scrap in.

Enjoy him while you can guys thats all I say.
Oh the the players poll out still say for about the third year that he is the coach they would not like to have, I wonder why? maybe because he tells the good ones they are bad, if all the other clubs would wake up they would start getting your rejects.
Dont we all love to bag those who leave us anyways

, facts are you have a premiership winning coach? Well f**k me sideways. "hey, hes done it once he can do it again right?"

Mateo, Hayne, Keating, Inu and Cordoba shows no destruction? Geez they were all awesome on Monday. My guess is the destruction has already begun with great players becoming good players and good players going to the sh*t house.
Best crop of young talent at one club? Please. Id take Penrith or Newcastle's young talent over Parra's young talent any day of the week. Twice on Sundays.

Hagan only coached 2 great players at the knights joey and Buderus did they drop to being just good players I must of missed that one. Penriths young talent  yeah they are really looking promising. Hayne is the best young back in Australia he proved it in SOO, you know the best level of footy there is, that also showed mullen has a long way to go. Mateo is the best young forward in the world.
