How hard can it be?

Looking at the Dragons website and the teams (NRL and NSW) we don't have pictures of the players that will be playing for us this year. Also, some of the basic statistics are also missing. Even for players that have been with us for a number of years.

Is it any wonder we are in the mess we are in. Is it any wonder our CEO is finally leaving.

Can you imagine the status of the Football and Leagues club. Our debt to the NRL.

Please Bruce put a broom through the place and get some genuine management and strategic planning in place.

Its only just over a month to our first NRL game and some of the most simply things are not in place.

I think you are making a hell of a stretch to get to things like "is it any wonder the CEO is leaving" and debt based on a poor website schedule.
That is hardly a Dragons problem, rather an NRL website issue also. There are multiple other clubs with outdated stats and barebones.

What needs to be done is the NRL needs to take all stats and player profiles under one big umbrella and keep this information up to date for all clubs. It's unacceptable that the best way to get NRL stats is via third party website made by fans

Just checked through the other clubs, several are fully completed or missing just one or two (even the Warriors), whereas us, Tits and Tigpies basically showing nothing.
I suppose it follows the attitude of the club and its intensity for the players and the fans.
Poor, very poor.

Also, can anyone spread any light on who our U20's are this year? I understand the comp is now state based, but surely some indication of the make-up of the squad wouldn't go astray. Like what's happening with players such as, Joe Lovodua or Matheson Johns or the young half Willis, to name a few?
There will be some games where the U20's will be the curtain raiser before the main NRL game, so it would be nice to know who is representing us on the paddock.

I love this idea! Surely a link back to the NRL stats would be more cost effective, accurate and convenient.

if its the nrl that manages and owns the site, then i take your point. Dragons and NRL need to do whatever they can to engage with its customer.

Interesting that some of the successful sides seem to have this basic information on the site. It just doesn't look professional.

Yeah, good point.

All NRL club websites seem to have the same platform and conform with the layout. Which as Franchisees is fine.

As mentioned visit any current NRL team and you will find some fault, old pic, etc.

Our club has issues, but this one lays at the door of the NRL. Piss poor effort from the governing body and in this case not to be directed at our or any club.

I’ve notice over the past couple of years that the nrl website isn’t update until the start of the season.

Is it any wonder the fans have lost faith with the nrl power brokers.

How do you grow the nrl brand?
By keeping fans updated right thru the off season...... simple really but obviously not for this lot.

Have you guys tried the new Dragons NRL channel on Netflix and Stan?
Much better this year with live streams to training sessions, although not a big fan of the board room live streaming - boring imo, bit like parliament question time.

I still find it interesting when comparing our marketing efforts and customer engagement efforts against the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea or MU. I understand they have significant capital to support what they are doing, however it was not always like that.

We should be looking to what they have done and work out what can we leverage and alter to best fit what we can do.
