How important is Gallen?

He is important espeacially close to the line although i dont think we would have won with him being there.
Gallen knows when to offload and when to pass unlike a few of the less experienced backrowers.

He's our X-Factor. We need him on the park for the rest of the season to win this competition. We were poor all over the park today, it's disappointing to see we might be relying on Gallen so much.

It wasn't so much Gallen not being there it was more so Douglas and Stosic got belted and the fall back plan wasn't there of bringing on Williams. Hilder gave us no punch off the bench imo.

Too important, and it showed.

You can forget all about his worth in attack as well. Where he was missed was the left edge and flank where he covers. He's the Bailey of the left.

A review of the season so far will see that we leaked points on the left for the start when Gallen was out. Since Bailey has been gone we leak points on the right.

Tonight both out and we were like a sieve.

gallen wouldn't have made any difference. even if one player has the right attitude on the day, he can't cover for 16 that don't.

Any chance of Ross returning early?

Read somewhere that Round 26 was not out of the question. But fitness wise would it be worth it? MASSIVE gamble if by some miracle he WAS fit to play.

I see what you mean, the absence of baily could be covered, just, but with Gallen out we lost it on both sides. They targeted Dykes & Kimmorely left and right, and the reason it worked was the lack of the inside player moving out.

I'd play him off the bench. If you ask me, taking Hutch into the finals is a big gamble if he's the only bench prop.

I dont think Paul could have done much about today. We got belted big time all over the park and then we decided to contribute with a heap of mistakes. We have to learn from this right?

You would hope so. Definately looked really really flat today. The fact we were outcoached today is a bigger worry IMO.

No Gallen, no win.

He was a massive loss. Wecould have won if he played. We had no go forward. Gallen would have provided that which would have allowed other forwards a foundation to do likewise. Also given the halves an opportunity to provide some spark.

His absence was the diiference I believe - oh and they also had Scott Minto! What a talent that guy is.

hahaha there were some Donkeys supporters giving it to Minto all game, was hilarious. I reckon he does alright for a 60 year old though.

yep. Drunken donkey supporters. They had some interesting ideas about getting Sailor and Tuquiri back as well.
