Some NRL players have Asian ethnicity, and could be used to help promote the game in Asia.

Nobody who lives in what we call Asia thinks of themselves as Asian.


Their identity is Indonesian, Thai, Cambodian, Laotian, Chinese, etc etc.


A person who lives in Thailand, for example, does not identify themselves as being similar to people who live in Japan.


In that sense, there is no such place as Asia.
