Club should get it easily downgraded to grade 2 or 3. Plenty of arguments for it.

Also if we risk and get it wrong, that 5th game's against Parra which we'll easily win minus GI so it's worth the risk.

Joke of a grading. I've seen dozens of worse hits get off much lighter than this one but they rubbed Dave Taylor out for 6 weeks last year after he accidentally flipped a bloke over so I'm not surprised.

Only homeground. You merged, you sold your soul to Murdoch :lol:

the merge is the best thing ever. i love it. we have a mass of players to call on, most clubs are filled with our juniors.
we cover a huge part of sydney and the south coast. we have 2 home grounds right in the heart of our supporter bases.

what is south sydney - there's a prison there last time i checked and plenty of housing commission. you play in the western suburbs.

you are a f**ked club having one good year. you will be shit again before too long

Didn't St merge play a few seasons out of ANZ too?

And 2 supporter bases and yet we still have more members than you.

Played out of ANZ for one season while one of our two home grounds was being redeveloped.

We don't know what it feels like to not have a home ground.

How does it feel?

"sold your soul to Murdoch". What? I think you are a bit confused. St.George, Illawarra, Souths and Newcastle were all ARL teams. In other words they didn't go to the Superleague if that's what you are implying.

The league wanted to reduce teams,ie merge clubs. You bowed down and did just that.

TBH i,m not concerned that Gi got a 4 week penalty with an early plea, except for the fact the charge is so out of kilter with what other got this year. At worst this was bad as the Teo hit on Groat. I think you could argue it was not. The hit on Young looked bad because Farrell was in the process of tackling him(possibly increasing Youngs momentum into Inglis as well as lowering his body height at the same time). If Groat had is legs taken from him at the same time as Teo hit him. I reckon that tackle would have been far more devastating given that Groat was as badly injured as Young . The MRC has opened itself up to a case against the grading big time. I would be fighting that grading without doubt.

Shouldn't be anything tbh. Give him points for being clumsy, it was a clumsy shoulder in which his shoulder hit Young's collarbone. No weeks.

and by inglis' "shoulder", you mean his nipples, yes?

or did dean young get a collarbone transplant in his forehead?

Still one match too many. Will miss Tigers, Titans, and Manly. If we win 2 out of 3 we'll still be well on track for top 4.

Probably not a bad result in the end . I'm sure the dragons fans will still be whining that it ain't enough. Oh well I guess it gives them a break from whining about how shit there team is!

Greg Inglis to miss only three weeks for shoulder charge after judiciary downgrades

SOUTH Sydney star Greg Inglis was tonight successful in his downgrade attempt at an NRL judiciary hearing and will now miss three matches.

Inglis was charged with grade four dangerous contact after a sickening hit on St George Illawarra's Dean Young last Saturday night. Young left the field in a neck brace.
The decision is a major boost for Souths, eyeing a top four finish.
Inglis, who pleaded guilty, was facing a five match suspension if the downgrade attempt failed.
But Nick Ghabar, acting for Inglis, pursuaded the judiciary panel of Chris McKenna, Michael Buettner and Mal Cochrane to drop the grade four charge to a grade three.
Inglis' suspension will end three weeks before the finals.
