You'd assume so.

As mentioned Telstra own 50% of Foxtel, so what would they gain offering a cheaper alternative for League fans to watch games.

They own none of fox sports though.

Direct money to them would be better than shared money. And the future is Internet TV.

News Corp and Consolidated Media Holdings own Fox Sports Australia though.

Both companies also own 25% of Foxtel.

The future is internet tv for sure, but that will include all the rubbish extra channels you dont want. Dont expect to see Fox Sports available for subscription as a stand alone service any time soon.

Yeah I know , but Telstra have to pay huge fees to fox sports.

If they can avoid that it will mean more money in their pocket.

Please let this be so.

So do you think it will be on Icrap only or also on Android as the AFL is?

I pay $63 a month just to watch my team we don't watch any of the other channels.

It will be for both android and apple. In line with the proposed March 1 launch there was the following post by the CrowdSupport team:
Someone mention our NRL Live 2013 app?

If not I will..... our NRL Live 2013 official app..has launched!!!

You'll have access to every NRL game this season on your iPhone or Android™ Smartphone as its being broadcast on TV, with six live games every week.

Plus, you’ll always have the latest live scores, breaking news and comprehensive match highlights at your fingertips.

Download the NRL LIVE 2013 app from Apple App Store or Google Play.

....unfortunately it is not yet up on Google play....

The 2013 AFL app has been widely panned in the reviews and is supposedly quite a drop from what they had in 2012. I can only hope their probs have been ironed out in the NRL app...

Hi All,

Yes the app was due to launch, however a few late changes were made, which delayed the launch, so stay tuned for the Official Release date later this week...
