I had a similar thing happen to me in the 1970's I had a recurring dream that I took the first hitup for the Magpies against Manly and Les Boyd coathangered me, every time.... the problem was, it was before he went to Manly.

I figured that was a sign so I played Soccer.

Had a discussion with a friend of mine yesterday. Hadn't seen him in a long time, and both of us are keen NRL fans. We were both saying that we are feeling quite old these days (we were at the races and there were alot of young girls around - talking about getting their licences etc).
Any I have always said that I will play rugby league at some stage in my life, because when playing touch I have shown a fair amount of natural talent - In mixed touch last year I scored three tries in the second half of one of the games, that sort of thing. But yeah, I was saying that it feels strange that alot of the players are younger than me now. Like Dugan is so much younger. So this makes me think that it is getting to the stage where it will be hard if not impossible to make it into the NRL.

I am 27 years old now and looking to start playing in few weeks (have a calf injury atm). My friend told me that the warriors hooker heramya? started playing in the NRL at 27. Hearing that gave me a bit of hope.
What I ask you is how old is too old? When are you too old to start playing rugby leage if you hope to become professional?

I wont flame you but your dreaming.......

I still have regular dreams about getting the call up for the Knights! Same age as you but atleast I realise they are just that, dreams.

I retired from playing A grade footy when I was 38. I think I played 3 years too long - so I think 35 is too old.

Reakon I could crack the QLD team for next week?

I can do a pushup and run for a bit but then I get tired.

Unless you're a very naturally gifted athlete anything over 23-25 is going to be very unlikely you would make pro.

lol. Nah PR not NRL or NSW Cup.

I mean did the dude get himself into reasonable shape and have a crack with his local team.
