I know he hasn't had much opportunity, but I sat there for each of those games and looked for enthusiasm in our players... who was pushing up in support, whether they were going to get the ball or not... who was on their toes, waiting and looking for a chance... who was calling out for the ball whenever it came anywhere near them... who attacked the defence with the expectation of breaking the tackle and creating something... who was getting the ball at speed and not just dancing around looking for a hole to open up...I haven’t put the line through Hayne yet. Simply because he hasn’t had an opportunity to play normal footy yet. He played Penrith Manly Sharks and we seriously only had the ball for 30% of game time.
Unfortunately I didn't see Jarryd do much of this (oh and he wasn't alone BTW) however regardless of what amount he agreed to sign on for, he IS a senior player in our squad and should be doing all of the above naturally and making his own opportunities.
