The Hunter Mariners should be resurrected and be placed into the NSW Cup as the Knights feeder team.

I'd rather see an inland/Country team brought in before Hunter gets a team.

If Country NSW had an NRL team, it would kill of AFL grassroots massively in that region.

Base the team in Wagga Wagga, wouldn't take too much to upgrade their stadium to have an extra 10k seats (take it up to 21k).

A lot of CRL teams are based down there and a large amount of the Regional NSW population is around the Wagga/Albury region.

It'd kill AFL in that area and send it retreating back south very quickly. It'd also isolate the Gayer Wester Sydney team as well, as their potential juniors in the south of the state would be keen to stay living locally and getting the opportunity to play in the NRL from there.

Hang on AFL don't have a team in that region yet you say they are growing their game. Why do NRL need a team there to do the same? You don't need an NRL team in every postcode to make the game popular, you need well funded and run grass roots and school programmes. Something the CRL needs to sort out, hopefully with more funding available from the ARLC.
