Hystrionics in the Coach's box

Watching McGregor in the coach's box just highlighted the fact that he has no clue as to how to change the Team's fortunes.
Burying his head in his hands.
Slapping the desk he was sitting at.
Rocking back in his chair in frustration and exasperation.
These theatrics are just the culmination of his inability to prove the supporters who want him gone, wrong.
Today was the 3rd loss in a row since his declaration at a press conference that "We can still win the comp..."
He could have been a little less brazen and said "We can still make the 8" but he chose not to which now makes him look even more foolish.
Today was his 11th loss out of the last 13 games with him in charge.
This was at Kogarah in front of our home crowd.
The only saving grace was that we did not capitulate in the second half.
This was now the second week we were at full strength according to McGregor's criteria. We still got beat.
POSITIVES
Vaughn - has been great for us ever since he joined from Canberra.
Leilua - continues to develop and was impressive off the bench today.
Ravalawa - can't fault his commitment and especially his enterprise. Could be a surprise packet at centre.
NEGATIVES
Our centre pairing just isn't working. Lafai is very slow and Aitkin cant's pass to save himself.
Hunt - just isn't an intelligent footballer. Wrong options more often than not.
Kicking game - our long kicking game in particular is ordinary.
Game plan - we offer nothing in attack. Predictable 3 hit ups and spread the ball on the 4th.
No variation or creativity in attack.

McGregor has a thick skin.
He hates being made to look foolish but he knows he's safe as houses no matter what happens on the field.

Common on Dennis, you fell for the Obstruction rule again which changes every second, don't be stupid in thinking your post will make any rational changes, the fist pounding on the desk was Mary celebrating his pay increase and his extension in pure inner joy!

I was pissed off then a succession of screwups starting with the million dollar baby turning it over as we were near the try line I screamed at the tv and when sharp pain coursed through my recently operated chest I decided it wasn’t worth it so I when over to watch my afl team Carlton get beaten but showed significantly more ticker in doing so whose board had the balls to do what the saints board won’t and that was sack an under performing coach who was bereft of ideas and out of his depth

McGregor's Grand Final next week...........Won 2 of the last 13 games....

And breaks another record...1st dragons coach to have lost 5 games straight NOT ONCE but TWICE in the season...

Add that to the 1st Dragons coach to have his side held to Zero twice @ Kogarah in the clubs History...

Well Done Board....What a great Idea to extend him....More records to come....

HUNT even on tv had to throw the ball wide to an overlap and threw a intercept and one to friz .
WIDDOP & HUNT don't run enough.
They zig when they should zag.
Try something different if it doesn't come off we lose anyway.

I hope you’re right mate. I just hope it doesn’t go Ba.......rrett.

Unfortunately there will be a bang when it happens , but perhaps this was the idea all along , that is to give Mary the full season and then bring Barrett in - one coach out ( to be paid ) and a new noddy already in the system . I must stress to all who are hanging on by their respective fingernails to my every word that this is simply speculation upon my part .

Heading for another record...
“It was the Dragons' fifth defeat in a row, and they have lost 11 of their past 13 to be in 14th despite their star-studded roster.
It equalled the club's record for least wins in a season through 19 rounds set in 2013 and killed off whatever small hope they had of playing finals football.” (Wide World Of Sports post game comment)

There was no hope. There is no hope while McGeegor is in charge. Only more unwanted records.
