Canberra fans' decisions to 'boycott club football in response to being overlooked' is just as geniused as the Central Coast's treatment of rugby league on the coast because they lost their Bears. Nothing says 'include us' like showing no interest.

Commentary today suggested the main reason was to get Bluetongue properly re-turfed.

Crowell second yellow, gornskis with a red :(

 Apples and oranges. Since the Beagles left Bluetongue in 2003, NRL matches played there average higher than the Mariners over the same period.

If you honestly think the Coast is showing no interest in Rugby League you've got rocks in your head.

Its only the diehards or ex pats that are going to turn up
To canberra that is

Would be better to take the game to somewhere like orange or parkes etc to give the country people a go

In Canberra? True. There's a small group there I saw called the Capital Punishment supporters club. There'd be lucky to be 5 of them.

Good to see the crowd somewhat taking a stand against Palmer though.

I enjoyed the sign "Need bigger crowds Clive? Ask us how!"

Wonder what fowler thinks of playing in front of 5 and 6k. No doubt pocketing his millions he doesn't care but it is shameful for the beautiful game in this country. Have just come back from the GC and the shops have all titans stuff but no united gear. Sides of buses etc too. I would of thought they would be challenging melb for highest crowds this year. The a leagie is coming more like the nsl every year

Well George Best played for Brisbane once in front of way smaller crowds, although he was probably only playing as a means to get his next drink. I'm sure it would be a culture shock for Fowler, just as it would basing himself in Townsville.

Is Clive Palmer trying to kill Gold Coast off in their first season?

HAL 2010/11 will most likely see 10 teams again at this rate, Melb Heart replacing the GC United side.

Almost as big as the Marinators then? ;-)

Seriously though, what do you expect when they dont have a team?

Sydney scored three quality goals today, showing the A-League is a better quality than it's given credit for....

Too bad the Perth defense didn't match that strike. Another loss, this time at home......it is falling apart again....Mitchell is going to be under the pump soon.
