Actually, if the development *doesn't* go through, then next year is most likely our last.

I also thought we were better last night than we had been.

It was a good game to watch. Hardly a semi final or top eight intensity but no one thought it would be.

Our play on a whole was good.

Some cheap errors that seperates the top 6 from everyone else.

As for the high shots. I thought Townsends was ok, Taga was ok but gals deserved the penalty and thats about it. Marea wont have a case to answer.

I would have taken the shot. Right in front to give a 6 point lead. Its captaincy 101.

As for the penalty goal. Undecided. They need to be kicked befor halftime or in the last 5. However, the play at that point had broken down and we popped the offload out. It was more opportunistic than planned. Graham looked ot be setting himself to kick on the next play.

As for Gardner. Well to me he seems more concerned with getting on the highlight reel. Dive on the bal and secure possesion. HE has farked up heaps this year. Dont get me wrong we all think he is brilliant with ball in hand, fast elusive, strong, tough etc. Just dumb.
He needs to earn the right to do crap like that. Bily Slater can do it, but he cant. Every fullback in the comp should be about securing the ball. BIlly can do what he wants because he has every other facte covered. Flananigans needs to give Gards a tape with all Slaters skills on it. Running the ball, attacking the ball, field postioning etc. Get the fancy stuff and go back to running it hard and fast like last sesaon.

Also get some boots with studs. Anyone notice he slips over heaps lately??

On the other hand Graham was great last night.

By the way, on the theme of the thread, got distracted by the above. I will stick with them. 25 years and counting. You could say i am used to it.

Look
Some really good points raised.
Also a lot of good humor when you need it.
Thanks guys,

But

I'm telling you that win was due to a soft disinterested pack when the game was there to be won.

Can't stand Snowden and Dougie dogged it.
Smith and Gal were good.
Toops, please help me. Do you care? You let your ex club make you look like a patsy!!

One for those with a better memory than me...

When we led the sea eagles 13 nil with nothing on the clock and got beat - did they also get the ball back from a short kickoff?

Enuff of the talk about we improved last nite and were better than recent weeks.

forget it - the season's over. Even if we won. By 50 - WHO CARES!!??

Finals footy is on in a few weeks and once again we ain't part of it.
Again!

That's what we follow footy for -to be the best - to be there at the pointy end of the year.

Yet year after year after year we are in this position.

Hasler, Sheens, bellamy, cleary, bennett, Henry, langy, - coaches with finals experience - all in the mix.
What's the common thread there?

Get graham Murray on the phone and ask him what he'll do the job for.

Might get a pleasant surprise.

He'd probably be interested, but as has been said in other threads, how much would it be to get rid of Flemmo?

I think thats the biggest problem. Due to the amazingly bad decision to extend the supercoach's contract after getting pumped in the pre-season, do we actually have the $$ to pay him out and bring another coach in?

Another stuff up on the road to ruin....

Frenzy.

He's on $250k a year. Lowest paid coach in the NRL. Not that the Sharks have $250k to pay him out.

Most of the people on the forum would coach for free given the chance.
Maybe we can bundle together and be a committeesque coach.
