... In the crowd.

I mean, I know it was 12 degrees, but come on!

A grand total of just over 10 000 people?

That's pathetic!

Yes, we aren't doing crash-hot, but I would have expected a bit more.

Shame on you who didn't go.

Unless you had a valid reason, of course.

Me too Eelementary, I just got home not long ago. Very dissapointed indeed with the crowd.

Last year we even drew a bigger crowd and we were travelling alot worse!

Boy we sure made plenty of noise when Widders crashed over though didn't we. The Mick Cronin stand went nuts I can assure you.

I think that something said in another thread has some merit here.Pay TV must have something to do with the lack of crowds last night and other cold Saturday nights.I was at the game with my son and we both commented on how cold it was  I know that the atmosphere at the games can't be duplicated in the lounge room,well.... MOST loungerooms (GP's is an exception of course ;-) )but several peolpe I talked to at the game said that they would be at home watching the game if they had Pay TV
BTW Being in NZ.......hmmmmmm maybe it's a valid reason  as long as you aren't sneeking a look at those black guys at the same time ;-)

It was freaking freezing, I swear. Maybe if they had more incentives to get to the game, like better entertainment, or perhaps giving away a decent prize (something like memorabilia that's cheap to get for the club but worth a bit to give away) to a random ticketholder, something like that to get the fans there, if we had that every week, I'd say more people would get out there to games, sure, the kids doing their massive dance was cute, but they could do a lot better.

I travelled from the south. Got there and regretted it when I saw that tool Thorman play 7 instead of Tim Smith. First grade started. I lived in hope. Then it got very cold we lost and I walked in the freezing cold with my mate to the carparking spots near the nuthouse and we chatted about what could of been. My mate compared Mckinnon to Scott Mahon. It made me laugh. See you next week.

It was a very cold night, I was there with my family and we had a great night despite the loss, My son got to run on the field with Mick Vella who gave him a warm pat on the head and got to speak to the boys outside the dressing room, his new favourite player is Mat Peterson, I suppose because he had more time to chat. Any way he had a thrill and there is more to supporting your team just seeing them win. Their performance does not warrant any criticism.

Look, I don't want people to get angry at me or offended.

I just thought it would be cool t see a large-ish crwod.

That was a bi factor in my going - I thought there would be at least 15 000 loud fans.

Oh well.

Maybe against the Cafe Lattes ... ?

Someone mentioned it the other day in the thread "Calling to all Parra Fans".

Pay TV.

Its not so much that everyone sits at home and watches the games. Only 25% of Households HAVE Pay TV.
Its the scheduling that Pay TV DEMANDS.

I mean, there used to be 1 Saturday game, and 5 Sunday games. Not now.
I don't mean to be offensive, but most elderly people, and "most" people with kids, just won't go out on a cold Saturday night, whether thay have Pay TV or not.

If it was a Sunday afternoon though????????
