I don’t know why but I hate Bailey Simonsson in first grade

No team can score at will whenever they need to. The opposition is also trying to stop them scoring, and they are doing it for the full eighty minutes, not just ‘when the game is on the line’.
A lot of those tries are probably coming from the opposition relaxing once they’ve gotten ahead. We’ve almost come back on numerous despite giving up significant leads. Did our attack suddenly improve or is it more likely the opposition became complacent?

It doesn't 'suddenly improve' just because you scored. Most sets you don't score (and shouldn't be trying to). It doesn't mean your attack was poor in those sets and good in the sets where you scored.

I don't think Oppa wanted to stay. Organised his own contract to play overseas, changes clubs every few years anyway.
I don't think we rated him highly enough at the time.

He wasn't picked in the starting team between round 12 & 20.

Played 2 games off the bench in 16 & 17.

And in that 8 week period he signed with Hull for this year.

He got back in round 20 after he signed with Hull and it was the best we looked in those following 8-9 weeks last year.

I don't know if it's the position now or we seem to have average players(likely) but neither Opa nor Simonson look like much. I'm not even counting Blake in this.

Nah it's because we're not Parrafit
Well it will be happy days when we do, it was at least a really good loss last night which is always exciting!!

Nothing really matters anyway as long as you take the good with the bad. There is always next week I’m sure we’ll get ‘em next time!!

Nothing better than a good loss.

How desperate do we sound wishing we still had Opacic. I mean ok player but nothing more then that. Can't beleive we could produce anything better then him.

Yep, Opa's defensive qualities always made us look better when he was picked in the side. And as we all know defence is a key foundation that attack is built on for winning games.

Sure, sometimes a player misses a tackle (and gets called $%@# by the captain...). But Opa was always more solid in the team that the x-factor plodder BA was selecting in his place - who has finally been relegated to Cup this season (and hopefully elsewhere/not extended next season).
