May as well just bowl Darsh from one end and Head from the other and rest up the actual bowlers. There won’t be 10 wickets taken in this match, let alone innings

This pitch is even worse than the one last year.

If the Perth pitch was rated average, they'll need to create a new lowest rating on the scale for this abortion.

How does the curator keep his job? One of the biggest sporting events in the calendar is now a snorefest

It's a new curator.

But he's working with years and years worth of dead tracks. The pitches all come from the same soil and so on. They really need to start over from scratch, because these pitches are ridiculous

Dumb question, but do other grounds successfully use drop-in pitches ?

They do now. Adelaide and Perth are both drop ins. The WACA and Adelaide did have teething problems but Adelaide seems to have found a way to make a decent pitch, and the WACA is no longer used. Which isn't a bad thing because they loved to produce a road too in recent years. The new Perth stadium pitch for the second test was a drop in and probably the best test pitch we've had in Australia in some years.

I thank the big fella upstairs that I’m in the shade or I’d be swimming in the Yarra right now.

When will India declare? I reckon they would like 30-45 minutes of bowling this afternoon.
Is this game heading towards a draw? Most likely, though India may be a chance, OZ, no chance.

f**king bananaman, should have swallowed that

also, they play AFL at the Gabba and its never been a drop in pitch and its traditionally a great cricket wicket

there is just no need for drop ins
