If you're a woman reading this topic, READ IT CAREFULLY and for Gods sake, TRY to understand the point I'm trying to make.
If you're a guy, explain this to as many women as you can even if they try to give you some lame, boring "womans perspective" on this evil phrase in the english language.
On the other hand, if you're a moderator, please don't delete this topic as I'm doing a service for teh Vesti.

Guys do not, I repeat, DO NOT like to be told "I don't want to ruin our friendship" as a way of turning down their romantic advances. "I don't want to ruin our friendship" is the most insulting and pathetic thing you can say to a guy when you're rejecting them, not to mention extremely GUTLESS because as a woman, the proves you don't have the nerve to be honest so instead hide behind some sugar-coated, lameass excuse.
For guys, a relationship is a friendship that develops into a closer, more intimate bond. By saying "I don't want to ruin our friendship" you're basically saying "I don't think enough of them as a person to explore the opportunity of becoming closer with you"

To the women who have said this phrase (And I'm sure it's been on many occasions) I wish EVERY misfortune and curse upon your future relationships (And may God have mercy on the poor souls who have the misfortune to date you). To those that haven't said "I don't want to ruin our friendhip" (And I'm really not expecting a lot of you) I hope I've explained myself in a way you all can understand.

Apart from that, I wish you all a good day

It's a big decision. You're only looking at it from a negative point of view.

Some may look at it as having a possible lifelong friendship vs being together for a few months, having it go to shit then not talk to each other again. I've ruined a few friendships that I wish I still had, although in saying that I've also let a few go that could have gone somewhere, and I never see them now anyway.

Sounds just like me. Sick of being consigned to the Friend Bin. Which is why I don't go down the "Friends First" path anymore.

As for the idea of things being ruined. We're not on this planet for long as take a punt.

This happens to people? lol

Whenever you meet a girl just give her a Tongan handshake. At least you'll both know where you stand after 10 secs.

Knocked back from your maiden root again eh?

You'll get off your duck soon, there are women happy to be paid for such services.

On a serious side, you self obsessive, ignorant moron, when a woman uses the term "friendship" its because she doesn't see you as someone she wants sex with, she see's you as someone more than a root. Women hold friendship as much more valuable than sex.

So for you to call it insensitive etc shows that you are an utter f**king moron.

In future, open your f**king eyes and try and understand the people around you instead of trying to ram your pindick up them all.

Wanker.

Methinks millhouse has been knocked back by a lot of women but men have accepted his advances.
