let's be fair here, wright has probably been the most conistent player in our team this year

he brings, there abouts, the same game each week, he's no superstar but he does a very good job at the back and im not nervous about his presence there at all when compared to gardner

when you aren't a specialist fullback, it is a very hard position pickup as you need very good positional awareness and you need to be able to take bombs under pressure

this says a lot about matt wright as a player and for those reasons I take my hat off for his efforts

I agree Birdee, he has been very safe there this year. Did not like him as a winger as he seemed to make more mistakes there, but happy where he is. Re Gardener, he can be an exciting player, but I think for every good thing he does he makes two mistakes. I think I would prefer Wright as fullback in the semis !!!
