I guess now we will see Lyons true motives

If he accepts the conditional release and just plays for Wee Waa then comes back that would be fine....Parra have now given him what he orginally asked for which was a break from the city and to play for Wee Waa but after all of this if he is still asking for a release and does got to Manly than he is a f**king dog.

Lets see if Lyon is true to his word.

I really do believe now that Manly have got into his ear, especially Noel Cleal. And I cannot forget how Peter Peters in the start of the year (preseason) was saying how good Jamie Lyon was as a player, that over weight elephant never wraps a parra player unless he is going over to the eagles.

I hope Lyon does come or at least remains true to his word that he sick of the city. Any other scenario will not be accepted especially if ends up at Manly. He will be the most hated ex Parra player ever.

If the Eels won`t get rid of that maggott of a coach they have, then why do they expect Lyon to want to stay?

I agree with you. There has definately been somewhat of a push from Manly officials to get him at the club. I think you'll find Fitzgerald will stand firm though, the conditional release will be for Wee Waa only, and there will be no provisions for him to join another NRL club. Jamie is in no position to reject this release, he's lucky he's been offered anything at all. If it's not good enough for him, then tough, he can be a waterboy for the forseeable future.

And he can take 250k out of your salary cap for the Forseeable future. But Yeah, stick to your guns...

That's not gonna happen, because he's going to have to cave in.

Why?

Because if he wants to play football again then it's his only chance. It's clear at this stage that all Jamie wants to do is play for Wee Waa, and this is his chance to do so, if he refuses he may not get another chance till 2007.

What is tomorrow gonna bring? I hope you're not listening to Ray Hadley, because everything he said last week has no confirmation and has been rejected by just about everyone else. He's beginning to look like quite a fool.

True. It's either the result of Monday's meeting or the alleged Sunday Telegraph Article that will reveal Jamie's True motives.

I don't actually care as long as he is playing football somewhere. It'd be nice if it was in the Maroon and white, buit he's too much of a talent to be running water for Wee Waa...

I'm not sure I trust the Sunday Telegraph. If they claim that he did have a feud with Smith then that contradicts everything said in the Rugby League Week article, I don't think people should simply believe the telegraph just because it's what they want to here, eg Hadley and every other vocal hater of Brian Smith. If Jamie wants to play football it should be for either Parramatta or Wee Waa. Nothing against Manly, but he signed a contract, he should stick with it.

Isn't it funy to see Manly desperately hanging on the coattails of Jamie Lyon? Manly only have one chance - the old traditional 'Arko's chequebook". Given Manly's history oif junior development is like Hitler's tradition of racial harmony!

All very true. This particular article may come from the horses mouth though.

(In regards to the bold text) I would have thought the same, but recent history has suggested otherwise.

Junior Development-How many Local Juniors in your strongest 13? Manly's at 5.

From the horses mouth? Good luck. The RLW interview was less than a week ago and know all of a sudden you think he will change his tune for the Sunday Tele?

Lyon and Burt are not juniors.

But none of Manly's would make first grade at Parra, bar maybe Menzies.

Randall, King, Watmough and Harris???

All very decent players. If we are talking about developed players you'd probably scrap Harris (I think he stopped at Flegg) and Add Torrens, Stewart and Hopoate.
