I’d forgotten. I just remember enjoying watching the Sharks play, for the first time in a long time...

One of my strongest memories of Noddy was not at a game but at training.
I had the privilege of working at the ground back in 2007, doing all the pre-works before the southern stand was built.
On my lunch break I would sit near the Sludge seat and watch the boys train.
This one time Ricky Stuart was trying to teach them this slick attacking move around the 20m mark.
I can’t remember the exact move but Noddy was the fulcrum who held it together. Only problem was that he couldn’t pull it off and the defence kept picking off the runners quite easily.
After 5 or 6 attempts, and fails, Ricky got the shits badly and booted Noddy out of there and put himself in that position.
Bang! The first attempt went through and smoked the defence, so did the second, third, fourth and fifth. Ricky walked away shaking his head.

I remember texting Reefy at the time and telling him.
My sole purpose in that regard was so I had entertainment when I got home and saw the carnage that he’d caused on here!
I got my cheapies.
