Even for someone such as myself who is always very suspicious and distrusting of the media, I still found myself eventually getting a bit worried due to the sheer relentlessness with which the media continued to flog this story even yesterday. It was all over yesterday's Footy Show's and they continued to speculate about it even on NZ radio this morning. Eventually despite yourself you begin to wonder whether there might be some truth to it.

As such it's good to have it put to bed because I found the speculation irritating.
