Hmm, heard Ross might still be out of here next year, anyone else heard that?

Would make sense I suppose, as the money would probably be needed to pay for every man and his dog who are supposedly signing with us.

its still on BS & not just the Sharks.

Dogs are very quiet but you'd think they would be very interested, they were in the market for Webb and Lima and Ryles is better than both and probably better value.

I'm still hearing the Ryles rumour this week, but I'm not a part of the inner-tube so it could just be bs.

HAHA The Inner Tube. Who were those guys?

Anyway, I've told that Ryles is a done deal, insofar as agreements have been made but no paper signed.

Also been led to believe that one K Filiga is on very thin ice. Club may be prepared to cut their losses on him. I wouldn't be holding my breath waiting for him to play NRL.

If he isn't good enough to replace Simmo, I don't want a bar of him.

What is the go with Karl, attitude, or just not living up to expectation?

Attitude is apparently quite poor. Thought he only had to turn up to pocket 600k.

No confirmation on it though.

He isn't a centre & has no passing game for the forwards from what i have seen. Add to that he is a lazy fugger on the field.
I am beginning to wonder if sticky was just hedging his bets on getting Toops with the Filinga signing.?

I'm thinking is this where some potential money is getting freed up.

Is Karlos in the top squad?

Certainly is.

Although given by all reports his contract is incentive based, I don't see it freeing up that much.

It'd free up some though. He'd have to be on a base rate which would go into the cap if he's in the top 25 would it not?

I couldn't ballpark the figure but he'd have to be on at least $50k surely.

Also, on a another note, who is getting our 2 marquee player payments. They are still going aren't they. I suppose The Insidious Cancer gets one. Who's the other I wonder?

karl is one lazy mofo

and its not just on the field

the bus waits for him while he calmy orders some food to go

either he is or he isn't - doesn't look like he wants it - more or less expects it

Frenzy everyone in the top 25 has to be on a minimum of 50k a year, they moved it up from 37.5 last year. (remember how Stapler was only on 37.5k at the Pennies?)

But the problem with that is whoever he is replaced with also needs to be on a minimum of 50k a year. So even if you get rid of him you will only be saving what he is earning over 50k a year, and that's a conservative estimate of his replacement being on the minimum wage.

Hence by only getting rid of Cooper, Steppa, Misi etc, who are not on much, (I'd be surprised if any were on more than 80 or 90k.) It's not actually that much of a saving.

I do remember that but how does it explain De Gois supposedly only being on $40,000? (RLW page 3 May 21 edition)

Reports elsewhere on the internet suggest Filiga is on well over $100k as his "retainer". I hope that's not true.

hmm, after tax figure perhaps?

Or perhaps 60k last year, 40k this year?

Or the RLW got it wrong.
