I know this has probably been said before but I will say it again. This is the best NRL season ever. We all have our ideas on who will make the 8 but nobody can say for certain what the makeup of that 8 will be. We have 3 teams out of the race in reality and of those 3 only Souths inconsistancy gives you a good shot at beating them on their day.

There are no certain victories this year and I hope and balieve that it will be a fight to the last round to see where the cards will fall and I cant wait. I know next weekend with the Tigers having the buy I will definately get out and see some of our competitiors play footy

Still 31 matches between teams still in contention, and there will be more upsets with teams out of the race providing nuisance value and knocking off semis hopefuls, ala Souths/Sharks & Panthers/Manly and Knights/NQld.

Remember that those 3 teams that are out of the race all won this weekend. Unfortunately I support one of them :(

I aggree great season, and great footy being played. Even Newcastle managed to play for the last 40 for there upset win.

I don't think the top 4 will change that much, Bronocs and Parra will get 1st, 2nd respectively i think. Storm and NQ will make the 8 but maybe not as high up as they thought.

Watch for the dogs i think they might be able to just get in there, but i really want to see the west tigers make it for the first time. They have been playing some great footy, but any team playing good footy has great halfs.

Broncos to win the G/F> Its our year this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, I think it is. The top 8 race is looming as the closest since 1995 ...

I think the best indication of how well this season is going is that when you play the team coming last you are also coming up against agruably the best player in the world.

It's been shown that if you do not turn up ready to play this year the opposition will put 50 points on you. Even when the game is close like it was on Friday night, one incident is enough to turn a game. If the Barrett/Marsh incident didn't happen the game could have gone the other way, which sounds studpid because Eels scored 40, but it's true.

I'm Loving the footy this year.

I just wish the on-field controversy would stop happening to the Eels.

I'm hearing you but at least our games are being talked about and we are WINNING, unlike the last few seasons. BRING ON THE SEMIS............

Right on, this season frickin' rocks!

Not just an ultimate NRL comp, but, it has been a great year thus far for international development, the 16th team, new TV deal, pretty good SOO series...! I'm loving 2005!

Yea this has been a great season, and souths actually winning games has made it better. If only newcastle had a better start it would have made this years comp the complete contest. Still good though when u have 2 points seperating 3-11

I totally agree.

My disappointment of the season has to be the origin series. Whilst a very staunch Blues supporter, this was the first origin series in a while that i felt and knew that the blues would definately win given the bizarre selections from QLD selectors.

No Slater third game- unforgiveable. You just have a player with his attacking prowess somewhere in the squad.
Paul Bowman- His best was 3 years ago.
Bell, Hodges, Stagg, Dallas Johnson had to get a run somewhere in the series.

But hay thats over now lets continue on with season that continues to amaze with unpredictability.
If the competition games are this hot, imagine the semi's and Final............mmmmm BRING IT ON!

Knights fan here, but still absolutely loving this season. It's great to see every single team competeitive on their day. This week the bottom 3 teams beat three of the top 5 teams (leading into the weekend) -- how good is that!
