a dads army won the rugby world cup somehow. but I dont think that could ever happen in league, more high quality performance is needed all around

I have watched the grandfinal many times (10+ I have the dvd) and both teams choked in the grand final, a heap of drop ball and the total of points scored was equal to what each team practically averaged all season. I gotta say the roosters choked a bit more and the dogs were better with the kick chase and more composed in attack and defence and were the better team. in the 2nd half when the game was one. the roosters were trying their asses off that whole 2nd half but they were never going to score.

If the roosters were as defunct as you say they were, the score would of been similar to when willie tonga dropped three tries on hodges. I know I wouldnt of watched the GF again if the dogs of lost, so maybe you want a run down from someone who has

hodges is a cat and he helped a long way to you losing the GF. cayless went missing up front and fitzgibbon had basically zero impact on the game. freddy was practically doing everything and mini ran a bit too far and turned over too much possession. Walker was a pratt and despite a good try early on, was a complete waste of space, especially when his opposite number utai made him look like a fool all night and scored two tries. Finch needs more work on his kicking game, he was quite ineffectual, so was sherwin a bit, but thurston came on and did well kicking as well.

Im not sure how you draw comfort from what you wrote, cause a loss is a loss either way and the better team on the night won. every single person aside from rooster supporters (and without a blue and white axe to grind) agree that the best team won on the night

Dad's army, another misguided post from Rooster Cogburn it seems. Here is our possible line-up with their age and the team average:

1 - Hunt - 18
2 - Tupou - 23*
3 - Hodges - 23
4 - Berrigan - 26
5 - Tate - 22

6 - Lockyer - 27
7 - Seymour - 19

8 - Webcke - 30
9 - Ryan - 24
10 - Civoneceva - 29
11 - Thorn - 29
12 - Carlaw - 25
13 - Carroll - 29

14 - McGuire - 25
15 - Learoyd - 20
16 - Costigan - 20
17 - Parker - 23

* Tame could be younger, I could not find age.

Avg age = 24.23 y.o.

Hmm, dad's army? Please try again.

Ide say Canberra have more Grand daddies this year. Brisbane have a couple...but the age factor isnt what has seen them lose the edge. Its the Alf Factor. They havent had a decent halves combo (either through availability or injury) since Alf.

even with lockyer at 5/8, they wont do well enough, his kicking game isnt that good and neither is anyone elses in the side

When you type completely in caps like that, no matter really what you write it gives the impression that you are a moron or have down syndrome.

Fittler will not play again.

The Dogs won fair and square.

The Broncos have many great young players but will not be a force again till they get themselves a quality no7.

RC will defend Easts to his dying breath.

Ever had a forum moment where you think, "damn, I wish I did not post that!"...latte, here is one of yours.

Saab wrote: "they have won one comp since 1975. one in 30yrs!"

Easts/Sydney won the comp in 1975 (30 years ago) defeating St. George 38-0. Since then, the Roosters have won only one competition that being in 2002 defeating New Zealand 30-8.

We forgive your stupidity too ;-)

Correct me if I am wrong here Charlie
