Tyrrell's contract expires at the end of this season and won't be renewed, i think the twins are on about $500k per season each but are only worth about half that amount, I'm not sure what Reyno is on but I'd suggest on current form he is also worth about half.

The problem is we have spent too much money on the wrong forwards, as in the Burgess twins. Get rid of both of them, or at least redo their contracts. I would also rid ourselves of Farah.

But thats not possible while they have contracts. Thats the entire point in a contract, I'm certain that they will leave or have massively reduced contracts when the time is up but today you can't do anything.
The same goes for Farah, unless he wants to leave you can't make him.

You could play him in reserves a la Jason Taylor? Lol

Apparently the twins have been spoken to about resigning for less money their 3 years finish end 18 so they have been offered reduced terms for 1 year to see if they pick up theif game

Tom I would probably retain on reduced money I think george is a dead loss though.
He needs a change to reboot his career.

What the F is going on!!!!
Its time Richo and Madge came clean on the fiasko that is our team.
We dont buy players ...why?
If we dont have cap why? You cant say our team are world beaters.
Why are we holding onto players past it eg tyrell, there is no other team that would have him in first grade why isnt musgrove in his place. Sutton is past it tap him on the shoulder corey parker was playing good footy and he was tapped. We are the leagues nursing home stewart grant etc etc avau out carter out where is their money gone?
Rusty where are you? Why are you not doing anything about this mismanagement. Why was mark hughes who recuited decent players booted?
There are answers we deserve to know...i need and want to know...im bleeding and i dont like it...how the hell are other teams affording high quality and we buy u20s maybes.

Great Post!!! but but but sanity and common sense does not prevail in here...Shadow...

Souths will have a shiiit team in 2018 . Unless the duds are sacked to buy some real 1st grade players mediocrity awaits souths again but what souths really need to buy 1st is a red hot recruitment officer such as the storm / broncs and cows have our team for next year is looking like shiiit .

How do you reckon England will go in the World Cup with them as starting props? ;)

I'm just hoping Wayne has seen enough to make sure George isn't selected full stop.
Tom I think can do a job.

We need a 3 Burgess limit.

Sam, joe, tom in that order

With the fact Tyrrell is off contract though we have to let him go.

We probably have to hold onto Clark too.

On my League live app which I can't unfortunately post the link but it's available in App Store it gives stats for the Bears and Clark last week made 11 for 86m and 39 tackles.

We need to make players work for contracts though and I reckon Turner would be on about 250k. We gave Turner his contract too quickly imo.
Clark is actually averaging more metres this year than in 2014. This year he averages 68.6 as opposed to 65.4 in 2014.

Similarly Turner is averaging 73.0 this year as opposed to 48.2 in our premiership winning year.

So both these guys are actually making more meters this year than in 2014 yet they are constantly criticised. Clark is our most consistent player. He's no world better but we know what we are going to get week in, week out.

All 3 Burgi are down on average meters v 2014... George down by 50 per game.... Sam down by 30 odd.

Tyrell has dropped off averaging 53 metres this year as opposed to 60.4 in 2014.

Defensively all these guys are averaging more missed tackles but so has the whole whole team.

I agree re Clark.

Turner's strong point is meant to be his defence though and he's been clutching at thin air quite a lot this season. I expected him to really lift and come of age but he has not.

Tyrrell shouldn't be there. Musgrove should be.

Sam has been playing very very well and you have to remember he is past his peak!

To be fair in regards to Sam, his stats have been affected by the last 2 games where he has gone off injured.
As for Tyrell , I think the only positive I could find was he had not made an error this year.

Absolutely agree about Musgrove. He should be one of the first forwards picked every week. He's the closest think we have to Nathan Brown!

If Sam plays this week he would be on limited mins once again!
