I beg to differ regarding Hunt, he was clearly outplayed this season by some of those lesser halves in Cogger, Hastings, Sexton. I’ll go out on a limb and say we at least win 1–2 extra games at the back end of the season with any other half besides hunt, that’s how bad he was in those last few games.

If 2027 is the year he becomes available, give it a miss. There will be plenty of halfbacks available before then. We must send Hunt on his way now and replace him with a marquee halfback. I'd put Gutho at 6 and K Flanno at 7.

I am of the opinion that if Kyle was not suspended for the last 4 matches (I'm still shitty about that) we could have won maybe two of those games with his ability to manage games. They are the breaks unfortunately.

That's why I like the Cronulla options - both can play 6 (outside KF) or seven. Then the young LKT becomes back up?

I cannot see Tyran coming. Looks like he feels badly treated by the dopes Griffin and Mary giving him no chance of NRL. He loves it too much at Melbourne and will be given more game time than people think.

Atkinson I feel is the best option out of the 3 (Gutho, Douhie and Atkinson). That game earlier in the season against the Broncos when Trindall and Hynes were out and it was Brailey and him in the halves, he was outstanding. It was like his 5th game of NRL. He is the youngest of the 3 and has far less injuries. Saints should go hard on Atkinson. I would feel much more confident with Atkinson/Flanno in the halves. If they can get Illias on the cheap as well happy days. Saints have some good options in the halves.

You are correct Dragonslayer , cannot ever see him arriving here , in fact we are more than likely to get Hughes on the rebound .
