We just finished too strong in the end. Even with Buderus going to be suspended for 8 weeks I still think we can go all the way.

It was crap from the Knights point of view, but Manlys defence was brilliant.
I think I heard them say on MMM Middo reckons the completed sets in opposing half stats will be a record for a semi.

It was crap from the Knights point of view, but Manlys defence was brilliant.

IMO, the 1st half was crap from a neutral spectators view. Manly's defence was brilliant and so was their effort in slowing down the "play the balls". Just made for a real stop-start half it seemed.

it made for a highly intense and unpredictable battle in which newcastle had to change their strategy in the 2nd half. far better than the touch football we saw last year.

I thought the 1st half was great...and the 2nd half.
Manly defended sensationally as the knights had something like 34-35 tackles inside the Knights 20m line. The eagles scrambling defence was great.
We dont need to see a 20-18 scoreline in the 1st half to make it a "great" one.

I thought it was a great game. Pity about the result though! Can't remember half the game, but I'm still amazed Kennedy ended up in the bin and Buderus didn't.
I thought Newcastle did well to win the game with the injuries they had, showed a lot of character. And EAS looks great, I'd go up there if it wasn't full of toothless hicks.
