IASbet.com backs punters on Jarryd Hayne's no-try ruling

BLUES fans who backed in Jarryd Hayne to score the first try last night have earned some justice from an outraged bookmaker filthy at referee Bill Harrigan's video decision.
IASbet.com's Mark Read has ruled in favour of punters and is returning all wagers placed on Hayne, despite his sideline try in the 8th minute being disallowed in the first Origin game's most controversial moment.
"Despite being an injustice to league fans as a whole, the disgraceful decision, which has been proved incorrect by (The Daily Telegraph's) photographic evidence today, also cost my clients their hard-earned dollars,'' Read said.

Hayne was paying $11 as the first try-scorer, which the official match referees awarded three minutes later to Queensland's fullback Billy Slater.

that pic is proof?

it still looks like he touched the line from the resverse angle. when hayne says there's no way he was out, how can he tell? he wasn't looking at his feet while runing.

if the touchy had said he was in and it got a try i would've been ok with it as he got a beter look than anyone else.

Harrigan really lost the plot last night. For mine, the decision wasn't in the spirit of the game. The game was being televised to a wide audience and, as Sterlo said, most of the 2M punters who watched last night hardly ever turn on the NRL. D!ckhead.

The touchie didn't say he was out... and it's his responsibility to do so. If you cannot call something like that at the time then it should be play on rather than relying on quantum mechanics to determine whether a heal touched a bit of paint.

I bet the the sum of what they are paying out is less than the value of the free plugs and good will they'll get for doing this

Let it go mate, let it go.

I don't think the photographic evidence proves it one way or the other but it leans more to him being out. The thing is there is no way that from the television replays could have proven that last night. If you have to watch it as many times at what Bill did then the rule is the benefit of the doubt applies to the attacking team therefore it is a try under those rules.

It's truly as simple as that.

Bill should be sitting next to Steve Clark this week.
