If and i state IF Hayne was tackled 1 centimeter before the line it would of been play on ...

There is doubt if he touched it or not, THE MAJOR DIFF IS, this play was shown 8 times and if there is doubt then there is more proof to suggest that this should of been given BOD ...

Hayne keep at it champ, and hopefully next game gidley actually plays and doesnt SH*T himself again ...

It's big enough, you wont miss it. Just be careful, it's full of that much air, it might pop.

Don't worry, I won't miss, that's for sure.
I might need some help wiping off all the dribble when it does explode though.

Harrigan really lost the plot last night. For mine, the decision wasn't in the spirit of the game. The game was being televised to a wide audience and, as Sterlo said, most of the 2M punters who watched last night hardly ever turn on the NRL. D!ckhead.

I agree. Just like they let Billy Slater have that miracle 2 try kick years ago, even though he started 2 metres offside.

I'll ask you this Colonel, would the BOOKIE have refunded the coin if it was Folau?

Raises an issue of integrity if the situation was reversed and Qld-ers had their money invested with Mark Read.

who gives a f**k about Queenslanders

You'd have to ask him mate..... We'll never know if Read would refund for Folau or not.

At the end of the day Harrigan threw the rule book out the window and wanted to make the headline.

Yep. The more that comes up on this matter the more it shows Bill Harrigan to have been correct.

He made the correct call BUT not the correct ruling. He has been proven correct however the doubt remained last night and under the rule the benefit of that doubt goes to the attacking team.

Benefit of the doubt made clearer by NRL

A more liberal interpretation of the benefit of the doubt rule by video referees is set to result in an increase in the number of tries awarded during the 2009 NRL season.

While no rule change has been implemented by the NRL, an adjustment in thinking will see the onus of proof swing in favour of the tryscorer.
Rather than looking for a reason to award the try, the man in the box will instead look for a reason not to give the try, with any benefit of the doubt to favour the attacker.

“We’re looking at the rules of the game and using them and saying `well what has he done wrong, what rule has he not abided in scoring that try,” referee’s boss Robert Finch said.

“When you score a try in possession of the football, the rule book talks about placing the ball on the ground with your hand or hands.

“It doesn’t mention control, it doesn’t mention downward pressure - so when we’re adjudicating on a try, we’re not considering control or downward pressure because the rulebook doesn’t state that.

“For us to take the try off them, they need to have broken a rule.
“If we can’t the clarify (whether a rule has been broken) or `geez I’m not sure, I think he had his hand on the ball or I think it’s downward pressure’, we’ll give the try.”

At the end of the day "The King" said it was a try last night during the telecast. So Harrigan must have been wrong, as "The King" is always right isn't he Belly?

For sure.

Sorry, to clarify....I wonder if Mark Read would have made this noise. Not the first time a try hasn't been given.
