I don't really mind losing. The longer we don't win it the better for the tournament. I mean this is supposed to be the second biggest cricket tournament after the world cup but, disregarding the weak team in every group, it's practically a matter of three wins to be crowned champions, so I imagine if we kept winning it easily people would grow tired of it pretty quickly, just like people are growing tired of the dull annual VB series. We don't have anything to prove anyway, two world cups in a row and number 1 on the rankings by a comfortable margin.

It would be pretty funny if Windies played England in the final. :lol: I bet it'd irk those kiwis, who made those teams look so bad several months ago and then got flogged here.

This series as a whole has been a bit of a flop except for 2 games Ind/Pak and SA/WI's no other game has lived up to the expectation. The English fans couldn't even come out and support their team against the number 1 ranked side in the world.

We had to have the 4 pronged pace attacked because Hoggy is on a plane home with an injury.

Lee has always taken a long time to get himslef match fit, and you cant do that without playing matches

After some very ordinary performance last summer, he was our best bowler in the two ODI finals, getting rid of Tendulker both times. Not just the fact that he got him out, but he played and missed so many times, as Lee was very quick and very accurate.

Bichel is just fodder for most batsmen, and I'm surprised they persevered with him for so long.

We are a long way from the top of our game, with McGrath and Lee still finding thier feet and Hogg out injuried, so you can only use what you've got. Whereas the Pomms are at the top of thier game in the middle of thier cricket season.

The Pomms beat us, and good luck to them. Its thier home turf and thier party, we'll have to wait till next winter to spoil their next party.

I think everyone is being over the top. You are going to lose games occassionally and that's the first we have lost to the poms in 15 games or something. That's one day cricket. Poms just too good on the day.

We lost the match around the 35 over mark when we lost wickets we shouldn't have. We should have got close to 280 but the loss of wickets really hurt.

One other thing, the performance of our bowling attack was another possible reason why we need to consider a 5th bowling option in India. Besides Gillespie and Kaspa, we are very underdone.
