Congratulations to the Poms

Outplayed us on the day, and they are now the T20 world champs, 3 T20 world cups to date and 3 different winners, shows you how unpredictable this version of the game can be.

Clarke really needs to be dropped. He plays like its a 50 over game. He is so out of place in the top order in this form of the game its not funny. Haddin batting at the top of the order hasnt worked all tournament either. Not sure why we batting white, mhussey, smith so low in the order, outside the openers they are the most damaging hitters in T20. Live and learn

Aussie girls in a tight finish in their final

NZ 6/94 19.1 overs chasing 107

(kiwis just hit 15 off the 19th over)

Well he ran Warner out..so that is another one of Captain Dud's great things..and the fact he snoozes along when batting. If he gets a duck, we get 175 and we almost win, he stays in we don't make 150. Enough said. Honestly England got it right- they have T20 specialists- something we should have. Warner and Nannes are our only two, and yet Nathan Rimmington (our best T20 domestic player last year) was not in the squad.

No, my law is you pick a 20/20 team to play in a 20/20 World Cup. No 50 over players, just specialists. Lets not pretend that we did not get lucky with conditions all throughout the tournament- they suited us. As soon as a T20 specialised team (England) plays us, we get thumped. Why? Frankly we have too many slow batsman. Haddin, Clarke, etc should be nowhere near the side. Luke Ronchi should be the keeper, and one of the Big Bash hitters should be in for Clarke. Cameron White should captain the side.

Yes, with pitches that suited us and we were lucky we drew sub continental sides. If we drew SA, we would have been thrashed. The other team (England) picked a T20 side. I am so glad we lost this as the selectors might wake up and realise that Clarke is a crap T20 player.

At least those blokes actually pulled their weight over the entire tournament. Even Pup can admit his performances in this form of the game just aren't good enough and the selectors will have to look at his spot in the team, why can't you?

Never fear though, with the Australian selectors being the clueless numpties they are i think it's fair to say you won't be losing your golden boy from the side any time soon.

Bring on the Ashes i say and that's where we'll really see what he's best at. I reckon he'll have a cracker of a Summer on home soil but FFS just leave him out of the T20.

Clarke admitted later his own form was a concern.

"There's no doubt that the selectors will need to have a look at my performances," he said. "I certainly know they haven't been up to scratch through this whole tournament and probably in Twenty20 cricket in general."I'm sure the selectors will sit down and have a look and if I'm not the right guy for No. 3 and the captaincy then they'll make that decision."

MEH T20's are rubbish. When the opposition team is on fire there is not much you can do! Bring on the real cricket some Test matches.

Well Beads you could always try and hit a boundary or two..I know it is radical thinking but jeez White, Dave Hussey, etc had no issue ding it! And Warner would have had not problem if Captain idiot did not run him out!
