Well Beads you could always try and hit a boundary or two..I know it is radical thinking but jeez White, Dave Hussey, etc had no issue ding it! And Warner would have had not problem if Captain idiot did not run him out!

It is pathetic how you have a vendetta against Clarke when you hero Watson basically gave the trophy to the poms with his woeful bowling. Sure Pup needs to improve his batting or be dropped but we made the final of a tournament we got knocked out of in 3 days a year ago..

Disappointed I stayed up all night for that performance from Australia. England were too good from the first ball. England's team on paper looks quite nuffyish to me but they appeared more up for this match and finally they win their first ever world tournament.
Too slow from Clarke again and also David Hussey for much of innings, but the pressure was applied early with the loss of Watson and needless run out of Warner.

On the positive side, the women's team beat nz and Ellyse Perry starred, which is always good to see as she's the poster girl for women's cricket.

Vendetta..what? I like him in tests and ODI's. In T20 he is useless as he can't clear the boundary. Clarke should have run himself out rather than send Warner packing, that would have been the team thing..but no selfish Clarke had to bat for 12 overs!

I wouldnt give 7 min of mourning over this form of the game

We lose the ashes Ill do 7 months

AUSTRALIA ARE T20 CHAMPS IN THE WOMENS :D

Well if we don't win The Ashes back on home soil not only will I be calling for 7 days of national mourning but also be calling for Andrew Hilditch, Jamie Cox, Merv Hughes and David Boon to be put into the stocks in the middle of Martin Place and let the people pelt them with rancid tomatoes.

Whoa I don't think you like him in ODIs as you have been on his case there too! But I agree with you, Clarke just isn't a T20 player, he had this tournament to prove he is, but he averaged 14 with a strike rate well under 100.

Awww, did you hear the poor little baby Ricky Ponting have a cry about the T20 not being a best-of-3 finals series?

Awww, bless him. His team lost so he wants there to be another chance for them to win it. He reasoned that because Australia were the 'dominant team" (no Ricky, England were - did you not see the semis and final?) that it isn't fair to win every game and the lose it in the final.

Well the best team steps up on the big occasion - also known as the winner takes all final, Ricky.

Awwwwww, pooooor Babbyyyyyyyyyyy.

Actually I can see the T20 world cup final being a best of 3. The tournament doesnt go for that long, extra money spinner, could play each game at a different venue ensuring big crowds, different type of deck. Does make sense irrespective of what Punters initial emotion to it is. I can see it happening down the track

Id say before too long you will see 3 game T20 series Aust play against visiting touring sides, instead of the odd one or two they play now

You have, but name me a world cup final that has. In any sport.

I wonder if Punter would be calling for this if Australia won? Probably not.

I doubt it, it's a final for a reason. Poms played far to good for us, no reason to change a formula that has worked for 30 yrs.

T20 finals have only been around 3 times over 4 years, In 30 years time we will have a T5final :D

Forget the fact we got tanked in the final. Being the micky mouse format of the game, I reckon if they are gonna max out a money revenue steam, rather do it at a world cup than all these poxy tournaments popping up everywhere and eating into test cricket time, which it will eventually :( . Hell even have a 3 game series for both semi finals

I enjoyed watching the T20 WC much better than some 50 over mickey mouse tourney in India which means jack sh*t. I can see more and more 20/20 games and less 50 over games in the near future.
