When the word perfection is used in sport throughout civilisations, whether they rise or fall or global warming floods the earth, the name Cronulla Sutherland Sharks will forever be etched in history,as the epitome of everything that is good, unbeatable and aspirational. And their players the modern day 300 Spartans .Shark Park will become sacred ground.

We don't have the best home ground....yet.

All's good otherwise!

The sooner the two Grandstands get extended the better.

More areas for people to sit the bigger the crowds can be on a regular basis.

There is a lot of people that once all the seats are sold out they simply don't attend. Especially that 40+ age group and especially with partners not that fussed about football.

There not interested in standing up.

well thats all gotta be self funded unless we get state or fed govt grants.
scope for that is ..well i dunno. how achievable would that be?

In the mean time I would put more seating in front of the porter stand. few more seating options there...

I reckon the porter stand is pretty poor to be honest.

I mean it's nice to sit in but it's simply not big enough. Looks cheap.

I'm no expert on how to fix it but I think moving it closer to the field and making it two tiers?

Anyway... I think in the very final stage of club refit there is scope for stadium upgrades. And yes it's to be funded by us I believe but I think that's doable... Even a loan can easily be repaid with constant cash flow.

But yes best f**king everything reefy

Us.

Cronulla fans, especially the older ones are the single most resilient, devoted and stubborn entity in the world. After all the crap and all the scares. After all the attempts to get rid of our Club. The never ending BS from certain media outlets.

I mean years and years of shit.

We, us fans have stuck it out. No matter what the press was saying or our mates were saying. The BWB has kept us close.

I for one feel that all the shit has been erased now.

And we are the ultimate fan base. Not as large as they would like maybe, but f**k me you can't take anything away from us older blokes. Through thick and thin. Better or worse,

Up Up Cronulla.

I still can't believe it.

I was always of the belief that if we ever made it to a GF we would lose one before ever winning one.

Our last two weeks we were dominant. We were the team that Souths were in 14 and Cowboys were in 15. We were the team to beat and no one did.

Just so relieved we won in our window.

I think the Grand Final proved that we have a larger fan base than 1 could ever imagine (& not just shire folk).

Sure, there were plenty on the bandwagon but that's understandable considering how hard it is to support the Sharks.

Now the monkey is off the back, those supporters will be proud to show they are Sharks supporters.

Me too Ar'old.

There would have been no better chance than this, particularly after winning 15 straight.

Lose & we probably shrink to the bottom of the 8 next year.

Now we've won & there's no more hoodoo, I think we have a good chance of doing the impossible & going back to back.

No ennis
No chance

Panthers or raiders I reckon will be the ones

And I don't give a f**k
Because we won!!

Going out for dinner tonight ( here in the shire ) with a bunch of dragons fans.
I'm already working on my opening lines .

I might go with something like...

Good evening
Welcome to premier country.

I'm open to suggestions, I need to get this right.

We are a chance without Ennis.

He won't be on the park but he will be there guiding his replacement.

I think we are going to be thereabouts & more chance than anyone of recent times, including the Cowboys who many thought were good things.

Whoever we end up putting in the hooker position really needs to be a play maker if we are to give it a shake again next year.

A shovel it out type/ hard worker won't cut it.

The Parks 32nd annual OKtoberfest is on today tonight. I am rostered on to work the Bar between the hours of 2pm to 5pm. ( 6,000 people flock into The Park to partake. )

This afternoon I am proudly wearing my 2016 Premiers T Shirt. It is my intention to unreservedly put shit on as many Donkey / Stinking Stains supporters as I can find.

I can't wait to use the line "Seeing as though it has been 10 years since you Donkeys have won the comp I think it would be in the best interests of the NRL for the Donks to relocate to Perth or Adelaide." ... That usually fires them up big time.

Oh it is going to be a great evening. Finishes at 10pm so just enough time to get home and watch the Poms v Kiwis.
