After this weekend's games we can probably rule out everyone below the Broncos from finals action this year. What combination of games do you think would be the most exciting week one of the finals that is within the realms of possibility.

I'd go with
5. Panthers v 8. Eels
6. Warriors v 7. Storm
2. Rabbitohs v 3. Roosters
1. Manly v 4. Cowboys

Manly Cowboys isn't overly exciting. A more unrealistic combo could be..

Souths vs Chooks is a beauty of a semi final - it would allow both teams to belt each other senseless, then one of them can get knocked out the following week...sounds good.

Rabbitohs v Roosters 2 v 3: What a game 2 weeks in a row! Probably 60 000 at ANZ! Will be a close match

Melbourne v Parramatta 5 v 8: Parramatta will play great for the first half but Melbourne will hammer them in the second half

Warriors v Bulldogs 6 v 7: Bulldogs will miss a home final on for and against. The Warriors will play brilliant football in the second half and Warriors backs will have too much out wide!

The only way the Panthers can get a home ground advantage in the finals is to play an out of Sydney team. Penrith should be allowed to play Week 1 at Penrith if we earn a home final.

Not only that, the Panthers and Warriors might play again in successive weeks.
