Sculthorpe and Noddy! A world class scrum base combo. Wouldn't leave much under the salary if we had bot these playing for us would it.

sculthorpe is better than harris, harris has turned into a bit off a riddel since he went to union. Sculthorpe if in the nrl would no doubt be called the best player in the world.

I have to agree Sculthorpe is just pure class and if we could nab him I'd be extremely excited about our chances next year, but I'm afraid I wont be holding my breath.

I think Maguire usually plays off the bench for leeds, was in the starting lineup last sat, and scored 5 tries, has a great step, and a lot of speed.

Not sure what his contract situation is with leeds though ..

Maybe one of u have a mate of a mate who might know ;)

He's been playing from the start this year, and while he is good, there's a lot of work that needs to be done. His defence isn't all that good and in the games against the bigger SL teams he's likely to disappear

Isn't Sculthorpe a lock who GB play at 5/8th as he is the best they've got? They also like to play Andy Farrell at lock which forces Sculthorpe to 5/8th.

BTW - Iestyn Harris is looking a bit fat and is still contacted to the Welsh Rugby Union for another but he can play league due to some crazy clause in his contract.

Why cant we just go after these types of players? Do we just hang around and wait for every one else to sign them up?

It's debatable whether he's the best 5/8 but he don't do a bad job! In 2001 when he first played there for GB, he'd played there a lot of the year with St Helens because Sean Long the scrum half had been injured for the year and they had to reshuffle.
His best position is lock and most people agree that he should play there for GB (and many think he should be captain) but Waite didn't have the spine to move Farrel to the second row. Hopefully Noble will, but who knows.
