At the Queens game he was playing fullback for the Jets and he was standing in the centres when one of the Queens put a little chip over and scored.

It beats me why so many people bag McGoldy for defence. His figures show he is not that bad. If the criticism was that he is not scoring tries I could agree. And to quote a miss in PL when he was FB and up in the centres sounds more like lousy position which might have something to do with not many games at FB.

That says he is on a par with Mellor and on aberage better than Vags. How come no one is asking why Vags is getting picked?

I am not defending the guy cuz I am blindly loyal - I think he needs to step up a bit too but I just don't understand him being a "turnstyle" and Vags being solid!

Stats dont tell the whole story. I dont rate MsGoldricks positional play at all. As someone said before, he was playing fulback for the jets but was found wandering around in the centres when the opposition scored off a chip...

I can see alot of people bagging Covell for missing a few tackles or letting a few tries in on Saturday night. You can bet your bottom dollar that was McGoldricks fault.

On the plus side, did'nt Covell score the majority of his tries when Goldie was playing next to him??
