If Cronk joins the Roosters, the 2018 competition is over before it starts

Trent Robinson has a massive decision to make if Cronk cannot play. Does he go with:

1. Moving Luke Keary to scrum half and bringing in Ryan Matterson at five eighth?
That will bolster defence but weaken attack and the field kicking game.

2. Bringing in Sean O'Sullivan as a direct replacement for Cronk and leaving Luke Keary at five eighth? That will theoretically maintain attacking strength but might backfire if O'Sullivan cannot handle being targeted in defence, making good field kicks, and the general momentousness of the occasion.

I would gamble on 2, because the Roosters cannot win unless they score tries, and Keary's role in his running game is crucial to that.

Its over Albert. Coopercronk is having his shoulder replaced as we speak.

Of course, if he was French he would have played

Brad Fittler has offered a third option: move Keary to half back and play Victor "The Inflictor" Radley at five eighth.

3. take a punt an inject Cronk with a shitload of cortisone and other painkillers.

Could they not have just named Cronk in jersey 7, and sub him out later? Surely he would rather wear 7..?
