e reality of where your clubs is means it will take a few years to fully turn it around.penrith went through the same but building the juniors was worth the wait as the tap is turned on
You will not get ciraldo unless you pay overs and a long term contract is he worth it .A big yes
They couldnt last 4 years with madge... they aint going to go another 5 years with Cameron, he'd last all of 2 years, as the members will turn on the board by then, ala dogs v barrett

That's not a problem for him here, the board are bolted in to there seats for life?
But the 5 year wait, could be a problem if nothing is happening after say 3 years, similar to Madge.
IMO, we have a couple of troublesome players here that have the ear of board members, which make it hard to move them on? And now Sheens has the reigns, the coach may not always get what he wants?

Shane Flanagan should coach them, why waste time on a rookie coach thats just going to struggle for years, where flano took a bottom 4 team flipped it into a team that won their 1st Premiership ever, plus he is born an bred western suburbs... madge wasn't the right fit, coz for all his efforts, and hard edge, he didn't make the players accountable, flano wouldn't do that shit, and a new rookie coach would
I guess he will put his application in.

He's certainly a contender by the looks, but he has never coached full time as a head coach, if he happens to fall over, he will be expensive?

Thats one way to really fk up your salary cap in regards to staff... if it fails that is,... imagine he takes the 5 year deal and tanks it 1st year... then waltzs back to the riff all smug like... i wouldn't trust him, not that long ago Ivan left you with a 4 year cap mess

Not sure you need a development coach as a head coach tho... yes you need development coaches, and getting cameron ciraldo would be great for wests, but get him to be reserve coach then assistant after a few years, in the meantime emplot a head coach with experience to turn reserve grader into 1st graders... madge was a good coach, but only won his with 1st graders, you guys are a bit of both.. you need flano or a hook to see improvement

Yeah but the big attraction is that he’s not expected to do much for a couple of years until we get a half roster of first graders.

So a lot less pressure than the dogs and warriors for a start.

We can afford him no matter what.

I just think he needs to reach a decision sooner rather than later to end our coaching crisis. We need the new guy starting now unless he is current NRL.

Current NRL, subject to getting them released, Hasler and Hook as realistic options.

And pilfer the smug assistants and the broncos ceo.

Sack most of the board, Lee on a period of probation. Recruit board members from successful clubs.

@Vic Mackey as paid consultant.

I’ve been at war with Lee for ages, but he’s beaten Lucy and the cows to a pulp.

So he’s turning it around.

But Cc has had a long time now since the excursion and maybe Lee needs to impose a public deadline.

Show some strength. We can’t owned by the Panther reserve coach. It’s a bit humiliating.

If we miss him, we will look foolish. He we push him and he lets it lapse, then we keep our pride.

Lets not do the Latrell again. But we missed him, which was extremely fortunate. Benefited by our incompetency!

Why we didn’t bend over and throw away the lube for Burton is a mystery. Why the Panthers let him go also defies logic.

Signed way before we could use and abuse... ended up with just one premierships instead of a possible 4-14.
You'd still be a rabble if you signed latrell,
You'd even probably have over pay him, and then not have any bank left to grab hastings or even upgrade him now.. and that needs to be done asap... youre gonna need more than wishing on a cameron ciraldo to fix the tigs... you need Ivan and Flano, and youve already burnt thru Ivan, and flano won't be on the market much longer, he is probably the best chance of getting the tigers in consistent form without waiting on some 5 year plan

Well that’s the rub with Ivan.

He is acknowledged by the wt faithful as a good coach. When he was here was admired. He satisfied us each day.

Then he ups and leaves and we are jilted lovers.

He killed our romance in the game.

You are going to argue that it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

But if we secure his partner in coaching, it will do wonders for our self respect and confidence.

Madge was good as a coach, but we need more.

He looked after the kids, got them off to training sure, but clubs have urges, I’m sure you understand.

Cc will set the record straight. We will become a real club again. No more public snickering behind our backs up at the shops.

Anyway, these matters of the footballing heart are very difficult to discuss openly.

The snickering will always be there... you were the "9th placed team" as a joke, now cant even get near it... people give shit to bulldogs for trying to buy success, but maybe tigs need a coach who can do both, coach tough and bring in a roster off the market, not just riff juniors, like seriously didnt anyone read what happened last time an assistant coach from the panthers was hired as a head??? Garth, Trent, now Cam C

Yeah good point.

But the eels have bad days. I mean even we beat them.

Potters team was built by Trent. Garth inherited muppets.

As you know, Trent is usually hated by players. Cc has a better rapport but can be cruel.

I suppose it’s the symbolic value too.

Justice and we can finalise the war against Ivan.

Im glad he got through his surgery ok. I heard there were less than safe moments. Very distressing.

Ciraldo must be Mr Smug or what at the moment @MugaB.

He can turn up late for training, spend the morning at club on the $1 minimum one arm bandits and get a round of applause when he lobs up to CUA at lunchtime and stands around pointing aimlessly as all the trainers seem to do.

The life of Reilly. World at his feet.

I can just picture Ivan grimacing when CC puts him on hold again.

In public he’s calm and composed but when he gets home, behind drawn curtains, the whole family is partying hard!

The v12 Maserati arrives next week, his lovely wife has ordered a second lap pool for the dogs exclusive use.

A happy time in his life at whatever club he ends up at.

Half his luck in life that fortune has shone so brightly on him.

Your mate Ivan the terrible is apparently advising him against going to us or dogs because it’s career suicide?
