Definately made me chuckle. No need to go through an interview stage when you can confidently hand it to a coach withquite a poor succes rate confident he will build a team capable of winning a premiership in just 2 years! AWESOME!! That team will be so amazing the will be capable of winning a premiership for years when Benji takes over.
Hillarious! Thats some pretty good shit Lee and Pascoe are on. I don't want any though. Sounds like it scrables your brains.

So many spelling and grammer mistakes in this post. My apologies, I got over excited and my phone isn't doing spell check for some reason.

Well that's it for me. They can have my membership. I refuse to give any more money to the club.

I hope I'm wrong and I want to be wrong. But I believe this will be a disaster. Possibly the biggest one yet.

Sheens is 71. Isn't mandatory retirement age 72? At least it should make it easier to show him the door this time when he won't leave. Who is he going to attract to the club? And who will Marshall and Farah attract? More Polynesian players? There's already a massive imbalance in the team. All of the successful clubs over the last 15 years have had a good balance of backgrounds and body shapes that make up their teams. Will Sheens have any performance targets in his contract? I know he's only supposedly in the job for 2 years but he'll be getting well paid. I'm betting he won't.

All good coaches have gone through a long apprenticeships of sorts. 2 years learning off the Sheenius will not cut the mustard. When times get hard I can see Marshall and Farah falling out completely. The only thing I'm more sure of is Benny Elias venturing an opinion every second day. Whether he's asked for it or not.

Marshall was such an instinctive player. What he did can't be taught. You either have it or you don't.

That centre of excellence will now become a factory a sadness. They may as well open a soup kitchen there with all of the spoons we'll have......starting this year.

The board of directors are directionless, and are run by an ambulance chaser who seems to be more concerned about getting the correct variant of Ferrari he drives into the papers. The CEO is an abomination who let cameras into the club when every team said no. It made us look like a bunch of amateurs and probably only assisted in making up potential recruits minds not to come here. The CEO and board can't even hire a rookie coach FFS. Add to that a playing group that just gives up at the first sign of adversity. Every players that comes here drops their skill level and every player that leaves increases theirs. And the embarrassment of watching players star for their new club, state and country.........

The only thing the club is good for now is a laugh. The same way you'd get really baked and watch plan 9 from outer space, or the room.

I think I'll throw my support behind the women's team. There's dark days ahead for the men's team.

I wish I could be optimistic about this but there is no good news, and the bad news just keeps on getting worse.

That will do me, they can have their coaches and stick the factory of f**ktards (centre of excellence) right up their hairy cloaca’s, they’ve now got one less fan. I hope Benji and Robbie can pull it off but I just can’t handle anymore disappointment, everyday it’s some new shit fight, it’s as bad as having to get out of bed everyday and go to the same job for 32 years, and that really sucks.

Just so I've got this completely right...

Wests tigers decided to sack their coach despite a number of key players having signed on (and about to sign on) to pay for him specifically. Their logic is that they can bring in a better coach and give them as much time as possible to prepare for the off-season. When their first choice coach rejects them publicly, they decide to give the head coaching role to someone who's last gig was a 2nd tier team in the ESL and hasn't coached NRL in over 10 years. Furthermore, they publicly confirm that after 2 years in this role, they will hand the reigns over to someone who has never coached or trained first grade NRL in any capacity (including assistant or consultant roles), and only retired as a player last year?

Am I reading this all wrong? Is there something I'm missing here???

How did Pascoe survive the Farah fiasco after being deregistered by the NRL?

Wests Tigers are deadset cursed, I reckon it’s Rothfield, he has seen some witch doctor and had us cursed so he can keep his job. Any time there’s a drama at the Tigers it’s Rothfield raking the shit, he must be somebody’s puppet.

I have to wonder what might have been if they threw a good $'s 5 year offer at Payten starting '24....same WT pedigree...proven capability and proven toughness under pressure ( insert exhaling loudly emoji here)

As far as Benji goes I guess he'll still have Bennett on speed dial....Payten actually said recently that he still consults Sheens in regards his coaching at NQ....at least we're not dull

It is absolute lunacy.
They have finally lost the plot.
When this fails, the club is done.

So Benji as assistant for 23 24 and then head coach from 25 till 27.
No club in the history of the nrl has ever signed a coach with 0 coaching experience to be their head coach in three years time. I think if I was on the board and heard this I would want to go Tonya Harding on who ever said yes to this. I honestly wonder if they are trying to destroy our club. How the f**k could this get majority board approval.
