Of the Big 6

SBW, Tim Smith, Jarrod Mullen, Leon Bott, Anthony Watmough and John Sutton

=1. Tim Smith - Bit of bias but he has come into a jersey that a lot of players have failed, has been getting a lot of wraps but seems to be taking them in his stride
=1. John Sutton - Playing well in a bad team, about 18mths-2yrs ahead of Mullen in development and a very big player so lock may prove to be a better spot for him down the track would love to have him in the #13 at Parra with Blake Green in #6 and Tim Smith in the 7
3. Watmough - Due to lack of injuries may go further then SBW has already played Origin
4. SBW - On talent is 1st choice but injuries drop him a long way down the list
5. Mullen - Has played well in a team getting lapped still has a long way to go before becoming a star player
6. Bott - Playing outside Lockyer with a strong forward pack and with the team leading the comp put him at Souths or Newcastle and lets see how he goes

If its a NBA style draw.....everyteam would go for Tim Smith.....if u look at who the number 1/2 picks are they are the players that ur team runs off hence this would be smith....but this really depends on what ur team is after....i.e. why would u choose smith if u got an orford or kimmorly.

SBW: Injury prone
Tim Smith: Lets see a second year
Hunt: no way - very quiet this season
Marshall: Suspect shoulders however he is damn good on his feet
Sutton: Good replacement for hill when he goes ^_^
Mullen: Havent heard of him :s
Bott: i dont think he will be a star

What about Greg Inglis?? 19, mom in origin 1 for his qld team, scoring 2 tries.

Mullen has a great kicking game and attacks the line much like johns... Like others though i would still like to see more of this kid before i make my decision.

Dunno out of SWB and Smith because we have half-back and second row covered.... so id say SWB to boost the depth.

And the Mut is wrong... SWB can not kick goals.

Tim Smith.

Williams is too injury prone, the guy is made of glass and Mullen doesn't even rate.

Of course he has a bit of a way to go, he is 18 FFS. He should still be playing flegg, but he's playing first grade, and has not let anyone down in any of the matches he has played in. Lets not forget that he has played in NSW u/17's and 19's not to mention the Aust schoolboys in the last few years.

inglis may not have proven himself in the proper origin, however the only player on the list who has performed at higher level than club is SBW. Tim smith doesnt even make any of the junior qld sides(not sure if u have to be playing in qld or not to be eligible).

If I didn't already have one of those kids in my team but was pretty happy with the balance we had. I would take the one I would least like to have playing against my team......................................Smith.

Sonny Bill can win a game for his team on his own. Awsome runner, ballplayer & big hitter but can be tagged & to a certain extent controlled.

Mullen looks like any number of rookies that have played our game. It's a wait & see proposition. Could be the next Fittler, but then again he could be the next Jason Bell.

Smith has the ability to put the game breaker amoung any one of his team mates which would be harder to shut down. It has been said already but he makes better players of the guys around him. To me that is the danger for the opposition.

Sutton is a very good player & seems to be a combination of the lot of them. With a bigger bag of tricks but with tricks less impressive than the players more refined specialsts. Very good & has more up his sleve than the others but lacks the precision, impact & / or execution the others have mastered.

If you truly want NBA draft style, you can't take into consideration your juniors because simply the draft is in place to allocate juniors from across the country into different franchises.

And if that was the case for the raiders, it'd have to be Tim Smith. For any other team, SBW or Leon bott. Smith for long term prospects because the Raiders are in dire need for an answer to the halves, and for any other team in the NRL, SBW and Bott are two real impact players and for any half decent team, will be able to produce.

Don't know why only Knights fans rate Mullen, he's playing outstanding footy at 18 years old. I'd go as far as saying they'd be better off with him than K Gidley. If he was playing in a winning team, he'd be making headlines but he's playing with the Neville Nuffy Knights and their dud outside backs, so he hasn't got much to work with but is still playing excellent footy.

This kid looks like the player to fill the void left by Johnsy when he retires, try watching him before you criticise him. He's a rare talent, I don't think he's as good as Tim but he's pretty bloody good.

I'd take Smith for when Campbell goes to the gold coast. Shift Gower to 5/8 and that would be a pretty good halves pairing.

Well said   Except he's better then Tim. Keep in mind that Tim is 20, so he has got 2 years on Mullo. Compare these three when they were all the same age. Eg Mullo now compared with SBW when he was 18 and Smith when he was 18.

Another one to watch is young Michael Greenfield from Souths. Unfortunately he has just got injured. However watch for him either next year or the year after to make a huge impact. I just hope it's with Souths. Souths also have a promising kid in Flegg. Germaine Paulson. Richardson chased him at penrith for a couple of years and finally got him down from QLD this year. Again injury has been a problem, he has only been back the last month or so. Has a lot of talent.

Deadset what a goose that bloke is who said Hunt has played sh*t. What do you have to do to convince people these days. He has been playing great this year.
