I did a good job hosting a party today.
I think I should make a thread about it.

I gated over 500 years worth of flesh, if that answers your question.

I won't say I believe the OP has ever placed a winning bet, but a comp like the NRL should give you a decent chance at getting some return. The closeness of the comp makes a lot of outsiders very good value. Never back the favourites.

I bought my house on the North Coast - 300m from a beach. You bought a house in f*cking Melbourne!!!!!!!!!

I'm not the idiot sunshine.

300m from a beach - gee you've really made it in this life haven''t you.

By the way do you still have nightmares about the 2009 Grand Final?

Hahaha!!

That's a point easily argued......maybe another time.

What you most definitely are though is incredibly delusional.

Claiming your room in the mental ward at Morriset Hospital as your own house is a little out there even for you

Time for the pyscho quacks to up your meds again.

Depends - not from a Kerry Packer perspective. But I'm happy and as comfortable as a bloke who has worked hard for his lifestyle can be.

It also depends on your values - and I'm quite certain that there are many on this site who have done better than I have - and good on them.

Yet for me - the house in Gods country, the 4wd, caravan and boat is pretty much nirvana. Then you can add the 2 strats (both with DiMarzio/Seymour Duncan upgrades) and the Marshall, plus the Maton all-solid wood acoustic (even with Queensland Maple - probably responsible for all the bum notes), the Norm Provan autograph, and the bit of burnt mailbox that Guru and Maresey gave me - not to mention my bride and the kids.

I reckon I dont have the need to tell everyone about my 16" sausage, my 16 Ferarri's and a pair of thongs autographed by Jessica Alba on the night I boned her.

I dunno why you need to brag about gambling, or about a house in Borethorn. What is that - Mt Druitt with sh*t weather?

By the way do you still have nightmares about the 2009 Grand Final?
Not as much as you have nightmares about Ian Schubert.

Sport is about integrity. If you have to cheat to win, you got no integrity. Yes, it's been a while since we won the comp. But when we did we never resorted to cheating. We got done by a team with steel in their shoulderpads (by 2 points), and a team worth 30% more than us, and still had to win on the back of a referee.

And we won more in a row than any team since Harold Holt last bought budgie smugglers. All legally.

I hope you house aint as fake as your team, or you'll need a sh*tload of ductape the next time a breeze springs up. But it IS in Borethorn - Bill Gates must be so jealous. Rest assured that I f*fcking aint!!!!!!!

Betting on the Eels to win a game is not a smart investment.
I would expect a return of 0.01%.
Excuse the oddity, but I did bet on Chris Sandow to kick a field goal.

If I were playing, I would leave those kinds of games alone, where the disparity is too big. in the NRL, odds of around 1.5 vs 2.5 are quite common and that 2.5 or slightly more is what you should be looking at.
Remember the odds are not so much about probability but more about popularity.

The only thing i am surprised about in this thread is that after reading the thread title i would have bet everything that the opening poster was going to have been Bunniesman.

I guess this is why i don't live in Hawthorn

Love punters/pokie players bragging about cleaning up.

I am a big punter myself, funnily enough you rarely hear of people talking up their loses only their "big collects".

Golden rule, bet what your not going to get pissed off at loosing be it $0 or $100 a week.
